I'm interested to find out how they can subvert the predictable. The story's present status quo is roughly where the Planet of the Apes reboots began.

If Leitch can make it like Bullet Train but with loads of dinosaurs and under two hours I'm in!

Make a quality dinosaur movie unrelated to Jurassic Park.

I hope it's scaled back a bit in terms of scope, it doesn't need to be set around the world like the last one. Look how that turned out.

I disagree, I want to see a Jurassic World that's franchised, and there's parks in loads of different countries, rather than just on Isla Nublar. Give me a time jump, and a third attempt at a fully-functional park that's the most successful yet, as it has become the Disney or Universal of dinosaur theme parks.

Never want to see another theme park oriented Jurassic Park movie made by Hollywood, unless it's a full reboot made by some other studio in a different country unrelated to Universal Pictures.

I feel they need to return to the essence of these films, which is seeing dinosaurs in the wilderness, behaving like actual wild animals, with the scientists studying them and getting in danger. Dinosaurs belong in the wild, not in cities or surrounded by man-made structures.

I'm not a big fan of David Leitch. He seems to be the go to director for big budget action movies these days. John Wick was great, where he directed in a duo, but I don't think any of his movies since then have been special or memorable.

Deadpool 2, Hobbs and Shaw, Bullet Train. He makes big, empty movies that never get better than "okay". He's like the new Michael Bay.

Maybe we jump ahead in the future and the dinosaurs are upright, wearing clothes like in the Super Mario Bros movie. Maybe the 'World' series was a prequel to that Mario movie with Dennis Hopper.

Leitch is out of the picture due to "creative differences."

Insiders say the parting was amicable but that ultimately the studio and Leitch had different visions for the film.

Maybe the suits should direct it then. Since they always seem to know better.

Interest vanished.

But kudos to David Leitch for sticking to his guns and deciding not to do it, instead of making something he doesn't believe in.

It's true that many directors get a lot of the grief from fans when a movie disappoints. Is it really the director's fault though, or the script writer or producers interfering in the process? I can understand why a director would leave the project due to creative differences, provided they have other projects they back up with.

That could be a nice change of pace. Blue the Raptor will now be wearing a full outfit with shoes for each claw.

Whatever new hot indie film did well in the last two years, that's going to be their director of choice. Someone who they'll throw a good check towards along with telling them how the film has to be.

Not the best way to make a movie.

Maybe it's just my usual pessimism, but I fear the new director will be a downgrade. Watch them hire someone like Elizabeth Banks or Joe Penna.

I like Leitch, but I'd rather it go to someone with horror roots. I wouldn't mind seeing a J.A. Bayona Jurassic World that's not written by Trevorrow.

That feels so random. Haven't really thought of him in forever. Arctic was amazing though.

I honestly have no idea who would do this film but I could see someone lie Fede Alveraz taking the gig.

Looking up JJ Abrams and his future looks open so maybe he's a name they want.
