Yes, shipping + TAX drives these titles to premium prices.

The stated intention of this line was to get titles out at a "wallet-friendly price" but Frankenstein's Daughter is £28.79 on eBay right now. My guess is that that is at least double if not triple what most people would expect to pay for a "budget" title on a BD-R.

Given that the postage pushes them into a premium price point, I have become increasingly reluctant to buy these titles individually.
Good insight right there, actually.

well at least we have the opportunity to get some more 3d releases . If we don't back them , then they may well not release any more due to low sales

Sadly selling outside Kunaki incurs extra cost and time so will effect the final price.

On the Ebay UK example for "Frankenstein's Daughter" which the13thman mentions, the final sale price = item price + ebay fees + paypal fees + international shipping + UK VAT which bumps the price up considerably.

Which is why we suggest and promote the direct Kunaki purchase link for best value.

They ship everywhere in the world and at what seems to me to be a reasonable international shipping cost. For a niche product, unless anyone simply wants a download, it's difficult to really make it work.

Its $27.17 at the direct Kunaki link - shipping isn't actually too bad and from past experience it's impressively quick but paying in dollars incurs extra costs for most people and overall I have to say that still isn't what I would call a "wallet-friendly" price.

Different people want different things, I hope you can make it work for everyone, I will for sure pick up these latest two titles at some point but releasing them so soon after the initial three with no bundle option is what made me stop and think about the economy of these purchases. And while having two webstores helps you guys at your end, there really is no value in that arrangement for the customer.

So what are all the titles from EyePop 3D so far again?

I have:

Gammera 3D blu ray
Horror Express 3D blu ray
Last Man on Earth 3D blu ray

I appreciate that they also have a red/cyan Anaglyph version included too. That is cool as a bonus option in addition to the polarized 3D.

Could be cool if most of the 3D trailers were included on each new release and good cross promotion for more titles. The promotional website youtube videos are nice though, good presentation.

Ones I don't have yet are:

Brain that Wouldn't Die blu ray 3D
Conversion Curiosities Vol 1: Creative Curios 3D
The Devil's Hand 3D
Frankenstein's Daughter (1958)

Nightmare Castle 3D
House on Haunted Hill 3D
Electric Man 3D

https://www.aipop-3d.com/

Quite a large library of 3D titles to select from, which is a nice option to see for 3D fans looking to continue to expand their blu ray 3D library over time.

Thanks @Zivouhr for your support - you've got some 3D treats in store I think!

For the sake of completeness I should add there's also the FREE-D-ONE 3D Blu-ray which can be downloaded and burnt for free or can be picked up for a small fee + shipping via our Web Store.

As well as trailers for much of our output this disc contains conversions not available elsewhere of:
  • The Three Stooges: Sing a Song of Six Pants (New conversion, not the old Legend one)
  • Frankenstein (1910)
  • Our Gang: Waldo’s Last Stand

Just a quick note for our non USA based international customers: Kunaki has paused shipping international orders and has advised there will be an increase in the international shipping cost. We're yet to get more info than this an will update you when we get more info.

This is obviously very disappointing and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Two separate webstores is bad enough for customers but with increased shipping costs on top that's going to make the stated aim of wallet-friendly pricing unachievable.

Shows that I need to pay more attention to things. Knew gammera was in the works but had no idea it was already out. Ordered it along with Conversion Curiousities.

Cool. I bet you'll enjoy Gammera's 3D conversion. A fun movie too for giant monsters.

Default His Girl Friday 3D

New title available starting today: His Girl Friday 3D

Andrew will add a link to the main page tomorrow, but for now you can get in with this direct link:
https://www.aipop-3d.com/his-girl-friday

A couple things different here. Firstly, trying a classic comedy. We have absolutely *no* idea how this will be received by the 3D community. This may totally flop but sometimes you gotta take a risk.

This is the first Plan D with some lite bonus features. Specifically I wanted to honor that old time theatrical practice of showing a cartoon before the main feature. As such we have an era accurate early 40s Fleischer Superman episode, "The Mechanical Monsters" in 3D.

Alex and Andrew have also provided preview footage from the next *two* EYEPOP-3D releases, which is included as well!

Finally the His Girl Friday 3D disc is 100% 3D only. There is no 2D content.
I'm offering a $9.99 2D disc that includes the feature in 2D and an anaglyph 3D presentation for people that may want or need a non-3D option.

NOTE: Please do *not* buy this just for the cartoon. It's a ways out but I'm converting the first four episodes to 3D for a Fleischer volume 1 release. Not really something I'm ready to officially announce but I also don't want people to think we're trying to trick anyone into a double dip. So most likely "The Mechanical Monsters" will not be exclusive to this release!

Well, if we're dipping into early-'40s PD titles I wouldn't mind seeing one of the Lugosi films.

Anyway, I'll likely be picking this up ... probably more so for "Mechanical Monsters" than the main feature.

Looking forward to more PD sci-fi titles that can truly be brought to life in 3D.

So, just to clarify, no anaglyph 3-D version included with the frame-packed 3-D Blu, correct?

The store is still USA only, I was going to see what this would cost if I threw in Gammera but no option to buy either.
