A post on page 3 says "Lucy and the Loving Cup" is the only new colorized episode on the upcoming set.

I expect S1 and S2 to be the same discs as the individual releases, which means the colorized version of "Job Switching" and "I Love Lucy: The Movie" should be present on the new complete series set.

I would love a 3-disc Blu-ray set with all the colorized episodes as a supplement to this new release.

That would definitely be odd if they did, considering they would have to go back and re-do the discs for Seasons 1 and 2 in order to actually remove features. I can't see they would go through the trouble. It would mean money and time to do that when something is already completed.

I just think there was some confusion with that reply from Thomas J. Watson, and he just meant there's only one new colorized episode. He said in his big FB post that the first two seasons are identical to how he produced them previously, so the colorized eps included with those should be intact.

If this set does include more than one colorized episode, I'd also expect "Lucy Goes to Scotland," which the 2007 Complete Series DVD included on the bonus disc, and maybe the 2015 colorization of the Christmas Special, to replace the Season Six DVD's collection of excerpts from the primitive and incomplete 1990 colorization (which I don't expect this Blu-ray to include at all).

Thomas J. Watson just confirmed on FB that S1 and S2 are for sure unchanged, so the colorized eps there will indeed be included.

I have the DVD collection of the colorized episodes. It's a little frustrating that after releasing this collection, another colorized episode ("Paris at Last") and now "Lucy and the Loving Cup" are available. I wish they'd held off on releasing this collection if more episodes could have been included. It is my hope then that maybe they'll continue to colorize more episodes and release a second collection of colorized episodes.

Probably should clarify that when I said lower authoring costs, I mean lower relative to when the format was beginning in the late 2000s / early 2010s, and when Paramount was beginning to release TV on BD, which it then pulled back from.

Yes for sure the replication costs will be higher for MOD with lower economy of scale.

But, at the end of the day better late than never.

Sometimes their calculations are off. I was looking at some stuff a year or so ago before The 4400 came out, it was available for pre-order on the DTU sites and had additional shipping costs because of how big it was, but something with more seasons (so obviously heavier) didn't. It eventually was corrected though and the extra fee was removed.
