All while this review tries to act like there's barely any difference between them and even gives them an identical rating. Is Svet blind or does he have some sort of weird processing turned on on his TV? And it's definitely not just screenshots, the Kino encode looks horrible even in motion with the weird splotchy grain field that will almost entirely disappear and reappear from frame to frame. Multiple of their other 4K B&W movie releases have similar issues and the pulsing effect it causes especially in skies is so distracting.

Still waiting for my copy of the Eureka version to arrive as it got lost the first time Amazon UK shipped it. Looks like it will be a very pleasant (if imperfect) upgrade.

Hijacking this thread to ask this, but how are Luke Louca’s encodes? I’ve been seeing his name popping up but don’t know his reputation, except that he makes his discs region unlockable.
