A new study revealed that some Hannah Montana merchandise may contain high levels of lead.

More: Other Recalls, Safety Info

The Center for Environmental Health purchased 28 Hannah Montana products from major retail and online stores. The center said of the 28 items tested, nine had very high levels of lead content.

The Center tested a number of items, including the Girls Rock Backpack and a Secret Star wallet -- both items came back positive for lead content of 1,800 parts per million to 8,300 parts per million. The federal standard for lead in paint is only 600 parts per million.

Although many toys have been recalled in the past year for lead content, none of the Hannah Montana products in question have been pulled off shelves.

Disney officials deny any of their products have lead content above the governmental standards.

The Center for Environmental Health said they recommend parents buy a home testing kit to test toys for lead, but the center said those tests do not tell you how much lead is in those products.

There ya go buddy ... happy now?

This has nothing to do with her, not her fault. Its mattel's fault for the cheap outsourcing of labor at the expense of our health.

You should learn to read posts more carefully I never said it had anything to do with her, all I said was "did'nt a bunch of her products get recalled because of higher than acceptable amounts of lead paint". And I think she does deserve some blame , I mean if I was putting my name/face on a product I would want to know that the products were up to certain health standards. Back in the 90's When Kathy Lee Giffords clothing line was exposed as selling sweat shop products she was crucifide by the media, and recieved a fair ammount of blame.

hmmm NOt how I read it the first time and not how I am reading it again. You say she deserves some of the blame? Then I replied with the above comment. You are complaining about a plastic doll in a blu-ray thread. I heard there is lead in the Blu-ray cases, better stop gnawling on those as well.

Did'nt know we had so many hard core Hanah Montana fans on this site. Sorry if I offended anyone by letting people know about health risks associated with her other products.

There are health risks assciated with the matchbox sized Cars from the movie CARS as well. Lead, same problem. Recalled all of the Sarge 1:55 scale diecast last July. Happens... Its a problem of the bottom line and cost cutting measures done by Mattel not the person endorsing the product. Do you think Disney wants things like this to happen?
I was just replying to the lead statement, nothing more. I read it and then reread it after you said I didnt read it correctly. Just expressing my thoughts based on that.No love for miley here

All I'm saying is that if I was gonna stick my name/face on a product I would demand that it met basic health standards, thats all , I mean if I'm collecting checks for this stuff thats the least I could do. Obviously Miley is'nt the one manufacturing this junk, but she is getting very rich off it right?

I'll picking it up anyway. tho the 3d are lame... LOL... now let's see will Journey 3-D gonna promote like the 3D Blu-ray and out in Red-Blue thing

btw: you adults (i'm 17)can't blame on Disney or Hannah, the reason she hits the chart is just because some or most of you download the songs instead of buying it. But the kids or hannah's target is too young to know piracy...

She wouldn't make it this high if you all support your singers, i mean there's nothing wrong to like a singer or music, but i don't think you guys should use your standard to judge on these things, many people many thoughts.

I saw 5 minutes of this concert on Starz HD on Sunday and she has a much deeper voice then I imagined.

I was like "okay...out of the gates...Miley...next stop...IN FLAMES."
