I second that.

Jesus. George is one greedy mofo.

Enough is enough George! I love his work and all and I respect him as a film maker but this cow milking is getting old....correction it IS old.

personally after seeing journey to the center of the earth, I encourage a 3D star wars. why oppose taking the original film and improving it? I think it'd be best if they released a 3D version and the original then everyone would get what they want.

Most people on here posting about 'Nightmare before Christmas' were pretty excited about the 3D release to cinemas. If not they were complaining about the glasses. No one called Tim Burton a greedy bastard. I wonder why that is...

I for one am curious about the filmmakers hype for 3D. Let's see it.

I guess you can apply the same thing to all the Batman movies, tv shows, and comics; or, Superman movies, tv show, and comics. X-Men? The Bond films? How 'bout Star Trek?

obiwopkenobi62, I feel ya man! Old movies, new movies, tv shows, WHATEVER! I'm along for the ride.

What you are talking about is making more movies using the same characters and plots, not retooling and reshooting the very same movie.. Batman was never reimaged to make Jack Nicholson look less cartoony when he fell from the building at the end. There is only one version of every Bond film, as well as Star Trek... they left them as is... we don't have 8 versions of Wrath of Khan out there because it was good and they left it alone. all the ones you listed were good in their own right and stay that way. What I am talking about is taking something classic and pretty much ripping everyone off by getting them to buy ANOTHER version of a movie they already own by adding this, or cutting that, or whatever

They put up a Pyramid in Las Vegas.

Does that mean the Pyramids in Egypt are any less relevant?

You folks really need to get over yourself, look, outside, the world is still there. It didn't just explode because George is working on another Star Wars TV series, blanket or lunchbox.

To be honest, the very fact that the world is still there outside is hardcore proof that George is working on something Star Wars related.

It's because it's become popular to hate on Lucas.

Spielberg on the other hand is a tool and dead to me for releasing Indy 4.

Oh, you mean like putting out yet another version, this time "in stunning 1080p with lossless audio"... way to split hairs, guys. It gives you all a bellyache to hear that he's making a 3D, yet at the same time all the same people want a blu-ray version. I mean, you can watch a 'Star Wars' dvd on your blu-ray player right now; isn't getting you to buy a blu-ray version so you can get better picture and sound the exact same thing? Of course, we all know the truth... this is all just carryover bitterness from the special editions and the prequels, which, in itself is ridiculous. Why should anybody care how much 'Star Wars' he makes? You don't have to buy them. If him making more 'Star Wars' diminishes your enjoyment of something you used to cherish, that is your own psychiatric defect. Get over it.

I have no problem with Lucas making changes to the original trilogy. My problem is that he doesn't want to release the unaltered originals anymore. Well, he finally did on DVD, but didn't do them justice.

it doesn't sound promising...but, when they hit the screen, I will probably get excited about them again...and dish out my money on these movies again and then the blu-rays and then the blu-ray collectors set..and then the blu-ray collectors 3d set...good lord George...

It doesn't seem as bad as him now releasing a new Clone wars with new untold stories. George just make a billion hour film of everything frickin' thing you forgot to tell!

"Yeah, George. I love your first movies so much that you should never be allowed to tell another story ever again. Those movies are mine now, stop pissing on my childhood. I forbid you from ever touching Star Wars again."

... how very logical.

I bet Lucas never imagined that his movies would be so good that they would cause so many people to act insane and have delusions of possession over them, and presume to tell him what to do.

And yet Indy 4 made a total worldwide of 773 million dollars. So I guess people didn't hate it that much

That's what is so funny. The people that are so outspokenly critical are the same ones who have given and continue to give so much of their money to an institution they claim to hate. They're like a bunch of gaybashers that are in the closet.

instead of redoing all of the movies already made, why doesnt lucas work on getting the last three movies made instead? ill be the first to admit i dont really know a whole lot about the whole star wars world outside of the movies, but i enjoyed all of them and i dont think ive ever heard why hes not making the rest of the movies, can anybody clear that up for me?
