Disney Star Wars Episode I II III IV V VI [No 3D Blu-ray] (only I-III were converted)

George Lucas is looking to repurpose the six "Star Wars" episodes into 3D format.

Katzenberg told us that Lucas is very excited about it and that he's got the technical resources to pull it off. "He isn't going to put a product out, I think, that isn't anything other than first rate," Katzenberg said.

If there is a way to make a buck off of it Lucas will do it. Be aware that Katzenberg is obsessed with promoting 3d movies. I saw an interview with him awhile back with him pushing the idea that movie studios need to move on to 3d movies as a way to increase revenues. It sounds more like a gimmick to me.

OH boy, I know he is gonna get bashed for this. The OT purists will rip him a new one. I for one think it will be awesome to see. I agree that it is gimmicky as well. I think Hollywood wants to move to this new 3D as a way to make people come to the movies as that would be the only way they could experience the 3D.

I knew this was going to happen a year and a half ago from a close source I have. When I told everyone on here, y'all laughed at me, LMAO! Who's laughing now Even though I'm sick of Lucas milking this cow, 3D Star Wars... come on guys, this is gonna freakin ROCK!!!

With home theater becoming better than the movie theater, this was inevitable. This happened years ago when the TV came into homes. How do you 'one up' the home theater experience??? 3D!

I would almost be tempted to waste even MORE money to go see this in the theater, but yeah... 3D don't cut it.

I don't like 3D movies..... they look blurry around the edges etc.... it's gimmicky, and not really that enjoyable. I'd rather see a clear 2D. If I wanted it any more "realistic" I'd go outside and just people-watch!

I saw all the Star Wars movie but I don't want to see a new version of the same movie every 5 years.Seem that wheneve Lucas is bored he goes and play with his Star Wars collection.

If this is right, now we know vaguely when the Star Wars films ARE coming out on Blu -- to coincide with the hype for the 3D theatrical releases.
