Question IWTB BD-Live features

So, this is my first time posting here. What better way to start off then something about the X-Files.

I picked up The X-files: I Want to Believe today. Saw this movie in theaters and gotta say I love it. I know it kinda tanked in theaters, but hopefully they can sell enough copies on DVD and BD so Fox will let Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz make the 3rd (and final) story they want to tell.

ANYWAY, the reason I'm posting is to ask everyone a question regarding the one of the BD-LIVE features. The insert that came with the BD says several things you can do using BD-LIVE. One of the things it mentions is

"Engage with other BD-LIVE enthusiasts across the globe"

Now, I've been thru all the special features options and can't seem to find a way to do this. I tried calling Fox Customer Support (start laughing now.....like they were any help) but this guy acted like he didn't even know what BD-LIVE was. So, I'm turning to here for help. Has anyone else tried looking for this feature, or have you used it? If so, please shoot me an email or just reply here. It figures the one feature I was looking forward to is the one I cant seem to locate.

Thanks for any help any of you can offer up.

Well I haven't tried any of the BD live stuff on any disc yet, but I believe once your Blu-ray is hooked up online, there's gotta be a site you must head to in order to link up to other 'philes'.

I dunno. I've checked everywhere I can think to check. The other movies I've watched with BD-LIVE as a feature actually had a BD-LIVE button to click on, but not this one. I'm kinda new to Blu-Ray (as you can probably tell by my slim collection) but thought this part would be easy.

Anyway, thanks for replying, and if you happen to figure this one out, let me know.

thanks again,
Liam

Point taken - Initially i was on the x-files trail in my previous posts in this thread, but then myself and other region B members got onto the subject of fox so my apologies for that. And actually i would like to start a thread but dont know how to, can someone please fill me in?

But back to the x-files, watched IWTB at weekend, thought it initially was basically like a generic thriller that happend to have mulder/scully in it. Then obviously the reveal etc and i felt that it all came together in the final reel. Really do think its one i will have to watch again to make a final oppinion, but my initial impression was that the film concentrates more on Scully's faith issues (which i actually thought was pretty good)

Once again sorry for my earlier rants.

How rude. And for the record, PC-based solutions can easily play Blu-rays from any region using AnyDVD HD, and there is at least one stand-alone player that has a region-free hack available.

The BD-Live functions are not online yet. Once they are, you will get an automatic message when you start the disc. The BD-Live "portal" will be the "Dakota Whitney Files" in the special features section. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply.
I also got a reply from Fox Digital Copy Source about a 1/2 hour ago. Which, considering I emailed Fox around the same time I posted this question, that's some quite damn fast turn around time if you ask me. Here is what he replied, copied and pasted so I wouldn't mess any of it up.

The interactive feature that allows you to engage with other enthusiasts is accessed through the Dakota files (or Agent Whitney’s files). You work with people from around the world to solve X-Files cases. To do this you must create a user account. After your user account is created select the account and create an Agent ID. You will then be able to access case files that other X-Files enthusiasts are currently working on and aid in the completion of the case. Hope this helps you out.

Another unexpected benefit I got from the reply was a phone number, which I couldn't find anywhere, including when I asked the people at Fox Customer Service. So, for future reference, if anyone needs to reach Fox support for Blu-ray or any Fox BD-Live features, you can call or email them.

Email: support@foxbd-live.com

Thanks again for everyone that replied.

Funny thing just happened. I called the toll free number to ask if the BD-Live function was working yet, and it just so happened I got the same guy who replied to my initial email on the phone. He asked how I got that phone number and I told him it was in his signature. He proceeded to say "Shit, I should have deleted that because not everyone in this department has the BD-Live help info. He said he just happened to get the updated info on his desk earlier today, and its pretty much minute by minute updates to them. He said that technically, the Live function is SUPPOSED to be up and running right now, but both of us walked thru it while on the phone, and neither of us could get the folder to appear where you create an "agent ID". He said to keep checking every couple hours or so, then said it could be that someone got lazy and didnt activate it.
He also asked me to not post that number anywhere cuz they get slammed enough thru the email address (the one I posted as well). And he said that that number really isnt a tech support number or customer service num. Its just a number for the Digital Copy department....and at the current time, consists of him and 1-2 other people, which would explain why I was able to talk to the same person who replied to my email.

He did give me a website address that he found in one of the dossier files in Agent Dakotas section.

That website address is http://feddocs.info/

if you go there, it asks for your email address, and sends you some "classified info".

ok....so theres the lastest and greatest. enjoy and I'll keep ya updated. Marcus (my new friend at Fox) said he will call/email and keep me updated.

So anyone have pics of the The X-Files Movie 2-Pack?
I bought each move by it self and just wondering what the 2 pack looked like. Did it also include the Digital Copy?

I don't have my camera with me right now, but I bought the 2-pack and can describe it. The set is a cardboard sleeve over two normal Blu-ray cases. The Blu-ray cases are identical to the individual ones you can buy separately. There is a digital copy included with I Want To Believe.
