That's for sure. The Bucks? We lost to the Bucks, again? They're like the Spurs' kryptonite. They're the only team in the league with a winning record against the Spurs in the 'Tim Duncan era'. Why? Oh and Kobe, here's your bone...(I couldn't find a suitable smilie).

can somebody tell me how both the cavs and celtics lose on the same day..twice..to equally crappy teams?

other than the game being completely rigged..what other explanation is there? because now there's no chance of either team beating the bulls record of 72 wins.

i need a boston fan to come in and let me know if the refs are calling/not calling stuff against the celtics like they are against the cavs during certain games

Sometimes you get your calls, sometimes you don't. Today you didn't, suck it up. My Lakers arent looking too good right now so all the elites might go down today lol Good thing game still early on.

How about them Knicks?!

Seriously, as a Lakers fan I really can care less about the Cs' record, but I honestly think KG and his playing attitude could be the "reason" behind their recent "slump", if you will. For the record, I LOVE KG, even though he is now playing for the team I hate the most!

Ok, IMHO, it is cool to see KG being so intense at all time and it only motivates everyone around him. There is no argument about that! However, an NBA season is very long, sort of like a marathon. I know KG himself could probably keep that attitude all year, but seriously now, how many players can do the same all year? Besides, you need to pace yourself in a marathon, instead of handling it like a 100M race. I bet his style, while it is good for the team's overall performance and unity, it must be draining for some on the team mentally and/or physcially. That won't cut it, dude. You really don't want to drain yourself so soon so early. Come on, now, KG, please, please pace yourself, save some energy for the playoffs... we (the Lakers) really want to meet and beat y'all in the Finals again!!! Please don't disappoint us, thanks!

By the way, I really LOVE watching those Celtics screaming and yelling at each other on the floor!!! Way to go, team!!!

6. Cleveland will win the championship

Boston and L.A. are going to challenge for the league's top record and may even get it; in fact, with Orlando running a close third in the East, the Cavs may be forced to win three playoff series without homecourt advantage in order to win the title.

Unfortunately for the rest of the league, Cleveland has two massive chips on its side. The first is the expiring contract of Wally Szczerbiak. All indications point to the Cavs converting this into a useful player, which is a scary proposition given how good they've looked already.

The second is that they have a massive advantage in any playoff series, and it's called LeBron James. It's not just that he's a great player; it's that he's a great player who can play all 48 minutes without any noticeable decline in effectiveness. While it's imprudent to subject him to such a pounding in the regular season, do-or-die playoff games are a different story.

And if you think the Cavs are good now, imagine them with LeBron playing 11 extra minutes in place of somebody like Szczerbiak or Sasha Pavlovic. The Cavs are 17.1 points better per 100 possessions with James on the court, according to 82games.com, and his on-court vs. off-court differences the past few years have been massive too.

You can see the impact by looking at the Cavs' postseason results the past three years -- every season, they punch well above their regular-season weight. In 2006, a 50-win Cleveland team took a 64-win Detroit team to a seventh game. A year later, a 50-win Cavs team beat a 53-win Pistons squad. And last season, a 45-win Cleveland team took a 66-win Boston team down to the wire in Game 7.

If LeBron makes the Cavs that much of a postseason threat when they're only middling good in the regular season, imagine the effect he'll have on a 60-win team. If he and his teammates are healthy, I don't think seeding will even matter -- because I doubt they'll play a seventh game while storming to the title.

err... Houston... I think we have a problem...

Thanks to Yao and the Rockets, suddenly Friday's interesting match up of the Celtics @ Cavs is going to be that much more exciting now. I can't wait to watch that one!!!

Judging by the way the Magic beat us the other night, we won't be able to beat the Lakers tonite. But the thing about the Spurs everybody knows is that they're a second half (of the season) team. As long as they stay competitive tonight, I'll be alright. Let me rephrase my earlier statement, we played well against the Magic, but they played better, which is scary about them. I can't wait to see them play the Cavs.
