I would like a hi def version of one of some of Eagles 70-80s concerts, a double bill with the early Bernie Leadon/Randy Meisner era band and one with the Joe Walsh era.

Default Eagles Live From Melbourne Farewell Tour I on March 19

The Eagles Melbourne performance (my favorite live concert), is finally available on Blu-ray. Previously only available on HD-DVD, it has top-notch visuals and sound. Most of the over 30 tracks are excellent.

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-E...Blu-ray/63541/

Edit: The availability date is FEBRUARY 19, not March 19. That is a month better!

Actually it's always been available on regular DVD, and was also covered in several other threads before this repost.

Depending on how you count tracks, I think there are about 29 songs spanning Eagles and solo projects. They're in light hearted form and there's added orchestration which some will like.

Yes, I should have specified that it was only available before in high definition on HD-DVD. The DVD's are OK (I have them also), but it's nice to have the entire concert on one disc. The Joe Walsh performances from this concert (especially "Walk Away", "Life's Been Good", "Rocky Mountain Way") are some of the best I have heard since I started collecting his music during the James Gang days.

Mine too!
I had it on dvd and it was almost exactly the same concert when I saw them in Vegas in '07 or so. I always wanted to get that dvd again but it was always so damn expensive.
I am definitely getting this!!

My favorite performances of this concert, can't wait to see and hear this in Hi-def. Preordered today. The AQ of the SD DVD is outstanding and gets a lot of play at my house. It sounds better than most all of my Blu-ray concerts.

Hotel California off of this set is a true home theater demo piece. A fantastic performance of one of the greatest songs of all time, with excellent camera work and superb sound - in high definition. This is the pay-off for all of the time and money invested in your system.

I was in our local music shop today and was seriously thrilled to find a copy of this in the music Blu Rays... Not even in new releases... Doubt the staff even had a clue.

I was expecting a good picture, but wow, it looks like this was recorded last week... Its absolutely stunning. Audio is good, although I hate when instruments are mixed into the rear channels on a concert disc. But going to be watching this a LOT in the coming weeks.

Just saw this last night. Thrilled that they released this on blu ray!!!

This is the best concert disc out there.

While I was on Amazon, I also ordered ZZ top live from Texas, Steve winwood/Clapton at MSG and Tom Petty live

Checked it out finally. My enjoyment was a bit muted by the fact I've had this in 3 other HD formats already.

Most people would have only the DVD version, so they can expect to be blown away with the enhancements offered on blu-ray.

This is certainly the most accessible version for most people since you just need a modern receiver and blu-ray player to get the HD picture and Master Audio. Everything is contained on one disc.

The video has that characteristic look of 'early' HD video. It's colorful, but not as film-like as more recent creations.

The menu screen has no default audio which was a bit strange, though I actually didn't mind that.

I also appreciated that there was no silly opening credit or audio sting that's present on many other concert discs. I found the typeface on the song selection menus to be a bit small.

The audio is predictably crisp, though I find I have to nudge the subwoofer down a bit from my normal level.

Of course this is a must buy and will be played to death by fans and audio gear demonstrators for years to come.

Does anyone else wish they would release a live film blu ray of the Long Road Out Of Eden Tour and the History Of The Eagles tour? I am just dying to see/hear these tours in all the glorious Eagles sound. I saw the Eden tour in person, but missed out on the History tour because I was traveling. Would love to eventually see more of their live tours filmed, recorded and released!
