Duplicate thread to the one closed yesterday because some folks insisted upon making a fight out of this. Bottom line is that ALL decent quality HDMI cables transmit 100% of the digital signal. This has been proven time and again by numerous HT sites and now by an independent lab for a news piece. Having an opinion is fine, but please stop posting misinformation as fact unless you have credible data to back it up.

I still think there is a Difference, Everything out of the box works Perfect and your eyes adjust to the picture. But after 3 months use the Cheap $12 Cable and lets see and re-run them in the test too.
I've had Monoprice cables in my system for over 1.5 years and there does not appear to be any sort of degredation like you claim. I'm sure others around here have used them even longer. What, exactly, are you claiming will happen to these cables over time? Do they simply disintegrate, or something? Maybe all of that "cheap copper" rusts, or something? I would honestly like to know the science behind your statement.

Huh? Yes, copper prices have gone up considerably, but this has absolutely nothing to do with the prices Monster charges for their cables. Let's use roughly $1.50/lb LME Cu pricing. Are you claiming that Monster uses 100X more copper in their cables than, say, Monoprice? Hardly. The copper price argument is why copper wire, in general, has increased in the past year or two. It's also part of the reason why ammunition prices (brass cases) have gone up considerably.
