i've had the BD a couple of weeks, finally sat down to watch it. firstly, i suspect it's necessary to be typically forgiving of how relatively light HK films can be. secondly, i'm certain that what (for many, having read comments) makes this film fall down is that it's not as dense and earnest as many / most biopics - for me, this is actually it's saving grace. i found the balance of the fighting and the story to be very impressive - and donnie yen does a doubly good job, in that he's clearly giving a good acting performance as well as a stunning martial arts one. the biggest let-down : i didn't think the disc was too impressive : the faded look to many scenes actually made the disc transfer often look soft, and it took me half the film to figure out which sound track to use... there was ghosting apparent on more than one scene / instance for me. still, overall, i think it's a great film.

For those of you who ordered from DDDHouse, how long did it take for you to get it? My orders usually take 3-4 days tops but this time it's been 8 days and still nothing

i preordered it so they shipped it right on 2/13. It was Friday that it was shipped out and I received it on Tuesday. btw, I live in Canada.

I just ordered this today. Hopefully, I will get it no later than a week. Or if I'm lucky, just a few days like some of you guys have gotten.

Mine shipped on the 13th and it took 10 days to get to me in San Diego. It was the 1st time ordering from DDD for me so I don't know if that has anything to do with the package taking 10 days...Rsgardless, I will order from them again.

i usually get my orders in exactly 6 days here in TX. however this time i still havent received my order. mine shipped out on the 13th!!!! i emailed them asking for a tracking number and it says it left NY (customs) on the 20th. I should have gotten it already.

I emailed them again and they told me to wait till the end of the week before they start an investigation.

YAY!!! my order finally came in today. 3 weeks after i first placed it. oh well.....i guess there was a first time for everything. this was the only time i experienced such a long delivery from dddhouse. cant wait to finally watch it along with the other movie i got (Connected)

3-4 days is really good time.

I ordered on 02/13
Got email item shipped on 02/18
Received item in Los Angeles on 03/02

Almost 3 weeks for delivery from Hong Kong which I expected anyway.

shipping price is cheap, like 3-4 bucks for most movie, other site charge more, total cost it still lower than yesasia that is all matter. yes asia shipped much faster due to they had a warehouse in san francisco.

Any chance Flashpoint or Ip Man ever make a Region B release?
I really liked Ip Man and right now I'm watching Flashpoint because some people here said it was even better.
I would really like to get these on Blu but yeah..

Any more Donnie Yen movies you guys recommend?

There is a French version of Flashpoint coming out soon (but doesn't look like it has English subs).

Just got my copy today, easily would be my favorite box art if it weren't for the big beyond high def bar on the bottom. Can't wait to get home and watch it.
