Default Shawshank / Warner Pre-Order

I would have thought I'd have received Shawshank from the WHV store by now since I pre-ordered in August, but I haven't even gotten notice that it shipped.

Anyone else have a delay with WHV on this title?

Nothing shipped on my December 2 pre-orders, which include Shawshank and Austin Powers. I heard last year they got slow around Christmas, which better not happen this year. If I don't get my Dark Knight next week I will be very upset.

Unfortunately, I think Warner uses "FIFO," "First-IN, First Out." Many who ordered after me online claimed to receive their discs a week or two before me. So, some of us who got an unbelievable price on "Shawshank Redemption" ($14.96) by ordering very early may have to wait past release day...just a hunch. That's what happened to me last year.

If they used FIFO the people who ordered it earliest would get it first. It'd be LIFO (Last in, First out) if people who ordered it later got it first. However, in my experiences with Warner if I pre-ordered something within a week of release date I usually didn't get the item until around a week after release but if I pre-ordered well in advance I usually got the item before release date.

Wow...so the coupons/discounts may not be worth the aggravation of waiting past the release date.

Why would they take pre-orders if they can't fulfill them? I thought the whole point of pre-ordering was to reserve a copy and allow the company to gauge how many units are needed. Way to alienate your customers Warner!

Well they have authorized my card for Shawshank and The Dark knight, so hopefully they will ship soon.

I ordered mine March 31, and it is still "In Process." My card hasn't been charged anything yet.

Trust me they don't do FIFS because I literally ordered this and The Dark Knight the day it showed up on the site, which actually turned out great because the 30% was still on at both those points and I got them for under $19. The problem is mine have not shipped either. They were getting better at shipping leading up to this where I would get items 5 days after ordering instead of 10. I was expecting to get both movies early and now I consider it out of the question.

I'm surprised mine is still in process on Dec. 1 -- this is the first this has happened to one of my orders.

I too am in the same boat as everyone else

I ordered Shawshank sooooooooooo long ago i cant remember when I actually ordered it, same goes for DK, as one of my main reasons for ordering from WHV is the movies USUALLY arrive a day before release date..I will be fuming if I have to wait past release day for Dark Knight..whats the point of a Pre-Order then?

Yeah i've been worried about this. I ordered shawshank and TDK and still nothing.

I say we all email them and bug them till they ship our stuff. I MUST have TDK before or at least on release date.

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this with Warner before, but I received Band Of Brothers about a week before it was supposed to hit stores and at the order status page for My Express Checkout, it still showed processing. I got the tracking number AFTER I'd already received the item.

I preordered Shawshank, TDK, and Casablanca ages ago, and they all still show as processing for me. I'm hoping for another repeat of the BoB scenario with this order, at least for TDK.

Guess I'll have to wait and see.

I usually get the email saying it has shipped after I receive it, but never haven't seen the myexpresscheckout site updated. I guarantee if anyone emailed Warner they would tell you that they aren't in charge of shipping and they can't help you. Maybe they'd offer you a discount code for 5% off, and imply that it is a great deal even though everyone knows it's easy to find better codes on this site.

I just picked up my copy at the local Best Buy. It's so nice with the 32 page book.

I am impressed with the packaging! Can't wait to watch it tonight.
