I didn't think I really had anything of real value, but I did see in the "latest purchases" thread where someone posted that Stone Temple Pilots "Purple" was rare. I love that record, and have it on purple colored vinyl.

Some of my most "cherished" vinyls (not necessarily valuable $$$ wise) are the Sublime picture disc releases, and the ORG pressing of Nirvana "Nevermind" on blue vinyl. I also have a copy of Guns-N-Roses "Lies" on vinyl. Pretty proud of that one as well.

Bruce Katz - Crescent Crawl.

This was pressed in limited quanities for one run. It's a direct-to-disc pure analog recording done in 1992 on the AudioQuest label, and Mastered by Bernie Grundman. Worth about $300. I'm not sure if its my most valuable, but it's right up there.

I don't think I've got anything that's worth any serious money, at least not that I am aware of.

The most valuable item is probably the 13th Floor Elevators box-set that got released about a year ago. I don't even think it's sold out yet, but it might increase in value over time. Not that I plan to ever part with it...

Nice packaging!

My David Gilmour: Live In Gdansk (5LP boxset) is gaining in price. I paid $49.99 and it's now going for well over $125. Since this was a limited pressing, and the quality is exceptional, it can only go up in price. And yeah...I don't plan to ever part with this one either!

I paid US$20 for my copy of The Temper Trap's 2009 debut "Conditions" and just sold it for US$400.

I didn't want to sell it, but I needed the money.

You can get the others at $27.98/each which is a decent price directly from ORG, I'd grab them while you can. They just got more pressed of Nevermind too. In this case "limited" doesn't mean how many they can press, only the window within which they can press them.

Unplugged on red vinyl - http://www.orgmusic.com/store/nirvan...d-in-new-york/

In Utero on yellow vinyl - http://www.orgmusic.com/store/nirvana-in-utero/

Incesticide on clear vinyl - http://www.orgmusic.com/store/nirvana-incesticide/

Nevermind on blue vinyl - http://www.orgmusic.com/store/nirvana-nevermind/

I ordered unplugged from them as it was the only one I didn't have and they send you a little ORG pin too. Nice touch. Very properly boxed too.

I don't know about rare but expensive...I have paid a pretty penny for these releases!

Vinyl
NIN - The Fragile discogs $125
Soundgarden - Superunknown $150
Stars Of The Lid - And Their Refinement Of The Decline $100
Opeth - Watershed $100

DVD-A
Porcupine Tree - In Absentia $80

there should really be a thread for the most you've spent on vinyl because i'm sure we'd all have good stories. My tops is $80 so far on a 2xLP so i don't feel too bad.

I just put in my order for the three colored Nirvana records I am missing. I am hoping all goes through well and I get some nice minty fresh copies of these.

Thanks again for those links dobyblue. I cannot overstate how much you have helped me out here.

EDIT: I just received my tracking number from ORG!
