i hate wen i am playing online and i am owning him on stand up and on the ground, he barely gets a shot on me, and then he'll land one lucky shot and knock me out or a lucky submission victory
but the other nite i was going into a match, i was frank mir and the other guy was brock lesnar, he comes runing at me as soon as the match starts i jolt foward with a left hand and knock him out in one punch hahaha, that felt good, me and my buddy couldnt beleive it, but after that its like it cursed me ive been on a lil loosing streak lol, oh well, its not my problem ppl get lucky on bootleg internet connections,

but yea pirate i usually get between 75-100 for sparing, i jus wanted to know if anyones gotten insanely high

ok so im taking sparring very non-chalantly cause i get like 50 at most. so i should go in those 2-3 minutes with the intent of a KO so i can get 75-100? around the time of my first loss in career mode my total player rating was 51 and i was fighting a top 10 guy with a rating of mid 80s. i think if i were to start it all over i wouldn't fight any top 10 ranked fighters til my skillsets are higher. i would probably continue to take the lower fights and slowly build up. im good on the ground grappling but simply overmatched against someone like shogun if my CAF player has such low skills.

bObby make sure you are going into the spar with stamina above 80 if you do not do this you cannot get the max amount of points allowed in sparring. Yeah as to the knockout thing I hear ya man. I was Andrei Arlovski and my buddy (who has been training me more) was Brock Lesnar we get toe to toe I give him a body kick, he throws a L1 + Triangle haymaker and an inch before my body kick lands BOOOOM I am knocked out lol. It was hilarious to say the least. I think the match was around 13 seconds. We had a rematch and I did much better but still lost to Brocks crazy ground skillz.

Can you get above 100?? I think the highest I've gotten is 72. But more often than not I only manage 50-60...or lower.

I've played 2 careers so far, Light heavyweight and heavy weight.

Also, has anyone heard anything about the lag issues online? Im not a big online player, but was starting to get into it with this game, but the lag is horrible. All my loses, and Im sure some of my wins, have come because of the lag. What do the stars mean online too?

Thanks

Depending on the difficulty I'd say Advanced to Expert you won't be doing much whooping of the computer like you can when it is on normal. The matches can last all rounds I have went 5 rounds to decision for a win on the advanced setting. The demo is cheap cause chucks punches own Rua.

Online "Ranked" Matches are a whole different world, much more skilled players. I've created 6 CAF Fighters now, ranging from 98 overall to 103 overall and I'm a little over 100 wins (ranked) and around 50 losses. Trust me, there's alot of tough players out there, even if you have a top CAF character - it's all how you adapt to their gaming.

The highest you can get in sparring is 144, that's as high as I got and from some guides online that is the max. Hint: To get higher stats, don't do any fights to sub for another fighter who dropped out, don't do sessions like signings or attending ppv events - they're a waste, just do your training and sparring. Do your training first to the levels you want, then do sparring. Don't waste time with sparring till you're training is set - you'll get a ton more points once you do that.

Enjoy and hope to see some of you online in the ranked fights

Thanks for the info on the sparring!

Online is pretty fun, when there isn't lag that is. I had my first wimp last night as I knocked him out in 10sec and there was a "sudden" network connection issue. Blah. These people need to grow up, who cares if you lose, it's not like these go on your resume or something.

Thanks

life, i saw on some other board earlier that you should only train with "Light". i think you asked earlier for a mathematical diagnosis of the 3 lvls of training. light yields the most pts with the least stamina used. at work so i can't pull up the exact numbers.

maybe somebody can help me out, wenever i play my friend i mostly win, the only time he can really beat me if he gets me up against the fence and keeps pounding me with combos, i block but he keeps going face, body, legs, and it really wears my guy down till he cant take it, dont know how to get out of this situation, any advice on getting of the fence quick with taking the least damage, my friend catches my leg sometimes and takes me down or if im punching him he grapples me but i cant do this, and he wont tell me how lol, he likes having this advantage over me

I've gotten over 100 once. I was surprised myself. LOL Idk what I did. Just about everything I could. Takedowns, blocks, manuevers. I wasn't trying for anything specifically. Just got lucky I guess.

I've only played online against people on my psn friends list. I haven't played any matches online against people I don't know, but so far I haven't had any lag playing against friends.

when in close range clinch with him (hug him). this gives you a breather and stops the incoming damage. if your guy is BJJ then you can take him down into your guard from the clinch and even give yourself a longer break to get regain some energy. besides clinching you can sidestep.

im halfway through my 5th CAF now going for the achievements. have 3x 100 rated fighters and 1x 98 rating

career mode tips:

use "light" and skill up strength to 75, then cardio to 75, then speed to 75 as fast as you can first, don't spare til you get lvl 3 sparring partners

to get +100 pt sparring sessions, use all your skill pts you get in standing kicks offense to 80-85 range. you get a standing kicks % bonus for completing the kickboxing/muay thai training later on which will take your standing kicks to ~95 range so don't go more than 85

in sparring do 2x low outside leg kick 2x forward body kick 2x head kick, then alternate sides. guaranteed rocked/knockdown/knockout unless you pick fights with wrestlers that just waste your time in sparring taking you down.

As far as the training camps go, I'm having a hard time getting the points because the #$*^$#&* guy doesn't try to do anything. He hardly ever goes for takedowns, so half of the points I can't get because I can't get into the proper positions myself, he never tries to transition . . . he just sits there and, if I want, lets me beat the ever-loving s**t out of him. Any tips?

i assume you are talking about BJJ/Wrestling training camp. i've noticed that when they assign u the task of like blocking 3 takedowns, in order to get them to take you down beat them in the face a little. i know what you mean thought sometimes they assign you easy tasks that you feel you can do easily but only end up completing like 4 tasks cause of useless computer AI. you do have to take the initiative on a lot of the tasks yourself though, even the ground ones. i have more problem doing the striking combo tasks than any grappling task.

Yeah the training camps are near impossible towards lvl 3 to get everything done in the allotted time given. I usually get around 5 out of 7 at this stage in the game. But I am working on a new CAF trying to get him over 100 overall. I'll keep you all posted on my progress.

i actually like training camps better than sparring or even the real matches lol. i've maxed out lvl 3 for striking/grappling disciplines on all my CAFs with 2 years left in career mode most of the time. let me know what your final stats are if you get over 100. i have 4 CAFs with 3x100 and 1x98. i can't seem to break over 100 like people say you can. if u get one id like to know all your stat numbers and such.

I find the training camps pretty hard usually. Takes me about 4-5 run throughs to upgrade my skills. Except for kickboxing, that's pretty easy I've found. The combos you need to do I find difficult to execute...I'll think that I've landed it but it doesn't count.

whenever there is a strike combo i dont even bother. thats how bad i hate them. on the grapplings tasks for BJJ/wrestling i get 6-7 each time so that comes out to 3 tries per level. i would love to try judo but i have no clue what lvl 3 judo would unlock that would be useful.

I just finished making my 8th CAF, and they range from 98 overall to 109 (109 being the newest), kept rising on my last 3 CAF's 103 then 106 and 109 on the newest one.

Here's who I've created so far:

Lightweight:
Cameron Dollar
Duane Ludwig

Welterweight:
Nick Diaz

Middleweight:
Myself

Light Heavyweight:
Renato "Babalu" Sobral
Ken Shamrock
Eliot Marshall

Heavyweight:
Shane Carwin

If you noticed all my CAF's besides Babalu, Shamrock and Diaz (who are some of my favs) are Denver Fighters where I'm from who are either currently in the UFC or are UFC Vets all of which I know/train with and am friends with - I still can't believe they didn't put Shane Carwin in the Heavyweight Division.

If you're having trouble getting the AI in camp invites to take you down circle your opponent just outside of their striking range after a few rotations, they'll shoot in for the takedown and you can sprawl and work your game that way. Also working Light in the sparring sessions may yield you higher attributes, but keep in mind the longer you do light sessions to get a higher attribute you are waging your CAF with less time for sparring sessions where you build up valuable skill points for the different sections. To me I find it best to alternate between Moderate and Light, typically around fight 15 or 16 you should have your attributes set and start working on your skill points with sparring from there on to get the highest chance for a better overall CAF.

There's ways to get 100% of the available points for about 90-95% of your sparring sessions, just need to figure out what works best and I emphasize on this....WHAT IS ALSO EASIEST TO ACHIEVE! I have a technique I do, but I can't give that out But I will give you a hint...at the end of the sessions, look at what gives you the most amount of points and work your game toward manipulating those areas with your sparring. I didn't notice it until I had already created about 4 fighters that's why my latest have been alot higher overall.

Also if anyone is into CAF's of other fighters, check out http://forums.ufc-caf.com/

There's a whole "lil" community of players who have alot of fighters created so far and ones you can submit. I plan on submitting my creations here shortly. The only 2 I used for forumlas from the site in my roster are Babalu's and Ken's they both are awesome! But I altered his tattoos to my own since I didn't think the author's were as close to his as my formula is.

If anyone has any questions regarding UFC Undisputed - feel free to message me and I'll try to help you out. Add me if you want to play against me online sometime, ID xMichalex
