Movies are shot out of order all the time. For all we know Wan already shot the ending of this movie with Brian still alive. So that would make it somewhat of a challenge for Morgan to re-write the script and figure out what needs to be re-shot and what needs to be dumped.

I do have to say that when the BD of 7 gets released, the making of this movie as a featurette is going to be a tough watch.

I trust these people to get the job done and F&F benefits from having a big cast in this situation, parts can get rewritten and re-filmed with other actors. I imagine Lucas Black will be having some more screen time now.

I actually really hope they use his brother for the rest of the movie. They look so much alike and i don't think it would be that much different. And it wont be insulting to Paul since its his brother.

Especially since his brother is a Proven ACTOR with many roles to his credit.

Horrible Ideal! IMO. They need to change the story and write him out of the movie. Yes it would be insulting to some people, even if it is Pauls brother. You can see the age difference between Paul and Cody and it will not work.

WORST Idea write him out GTFO ! they can make it work , the more i come on the forum i appreciate hollywood writers more and more and see it as talent compared to ridiculous ideas on the internet, not singling you out but just disagree to right him out completely thats all sorry

Ok what I mean is use the footage that they have and have him go into protective custody instead of using his 25 year old brother to shot the rest of the movie to replace a 40 year old person! Thats just stupid. Walt Ghost had a perfect way for it to work in this thread.

Just read this article in which Universal is in talks with using Cody Walker to replace Paul. Either he will come in and replace him or they will write Paul Walker character out of the film and his brother will play his brother in the movie as a new character. I feel bad for James Wan, his career was going good with Insidius, The Conjuring and Insidius 2, he wabted to branch out of the horror genre, was given a humongus budget and a short time to deliver this massive film, and he was well into it. Then this tragedy occurs, it must be tough, for everyone in the production since Mr. Walker was a realy great person and he was loved and admired by everyone. I hope everything goes good and they can honor Mr. Walker by making a good film.

I would like many absolutely love to see this movie made WITH Paul Walkers performance but realistically it's gonna need a lot of chopping here and there to re-jig the story and make it all fit to accomodate what's been shot already.

Its quite sad to see that this happened and unlike Heath Ledgers final film where others were able to step into the role and be explained away with nary an issue, here it can't be done. That said, I wonder if a 'voice box' on a computer can realistically mimic walkers voice while CGI does the facial part and then complete the scenes.

Surely insurance money can be used to do so considering it would cost circa $150 million to restart the project and the entire cast of friends is competely against that happening.
