obviously i meant spoiling the meaning of the film, not the plot of the film. some films have multiple meanings. of course the plot of any film can be spoiled.

Nothing in those posts above are even CLOSE to a spoiler. Just go watch it and come back here when you need your brain repaired. And you will.

On #2, agreed. definitely a logical starting place. This may be a rare book read for me. The movie left my brain fact-starved. Like I just tasted a brownie appetizer at a grocery store station, and now I wanna buy the big momma brownie and go home and wolf it down!
I'd have to rewatch it in order to have a good conversation about #1.

When you say "fact-starved", what other things felt missing for you? To me, it seemed pretty tidy and buttoned up.

Observe & Report 4.5/5
PQ 4/5
AQ 3.5/5
Excellent comedy that's beyond silly in parts but two gorgeous blondes in it and a lot of hilarious performances from a very strong cast.

Finally a movie we can agree on

Wouldn't be so high, but I did find it quite funny

agreed, I didn't feel much was "missing", I guess I'd be more interested in reading about the background facts, etc.

one thing I did find hazy:
[Show spoiler]
-for the 4 murders: what else did they have besides business receipts that tied Gottfried to those 4 towns? Just because a guy is in 4 towns on the 4 dates of 4 murders means nothing. Highly circumstantial? yes. Proof beyond reasonable doubt? Get real. yes, they were all Jews and he was a Nazi, but again, circumstantial. Without direct evidence (statements, witnesses, writings, etc), hard to prove. Just curious how much more meat the book has on this. Obviously, the 4 biblical references were accurate, as the killings were consistent with the biblical passages, but beyond that, we dont' know who is the killer (at that point in the film, I mean: when they say "Its Gottfried, he was there on those days!"). Gottfried is Harriet's dad, and he was a bible freak, but I don't thikn they knew that yet in the plot.

I bolded something in your spoiler.

[Show spoiler]Its not enough to prosecute, or convict. But it was enough to get him to blow his own cover from the stress of them being so close on his trail.

Agreed. Good points here.

On #1, I spoke with my sis (read the book), and confirmed
[Show spoiler]there was more juicy details in the book on how they tracked her to Australia, with phone tracing, etc. It was a HUUUGE plot leap in the film I thought.
. I see on wikipedia page that there is a 180 minute extended cut??? HELLLLUUU BLU RAY???

Beauty and the Beast

Movie: 5/5

-Even after all of these years, this movie still managed to capture me completely. Like most great Disney movies, this one instantly propels your mind into a realm of magic where anything can happen. I'm somewhat lost for words right now, so if you take anything just know that this is a masterpiece.

PQ- 5/5

-Perfection, it really does not get better than this and if it somehow does, then I will know that living this life has been the most rewarding experience ever. Colors are vibrant, animation dazzles, everything is simply amazing.

AQ- 5/5

- God this was brilliant. Have I mentioned that this was perfect yet? No? This is perfect.

This tale as old as time is a must have in every one's collection.

I completely agree. To each their own of course, but I thought it was horrible. The only reason why I made it through the movie was because the second half actually got interesting. Oh well, can't like them all.

I attempted to watch my copy of Avatar for the first time in months today.

But I fell asleep a little over an hour in

Maybe it was the half of a large pizza and Root Beer

Pondering watching Kingdom of Heaven later.

I only slept about 6.5 hours or so last night, so it is likely the reason.
