At any rate, I'll be picking it up hopefully on Tuesday (if funds allow), otherwise on Friday.
I noticed r9800pro saying it was just as bad then he posted back later saying actually it wasn't it just needed turning up, I admit I did turn mine up higher than what I normally listen at (normally 20 but had it on 25 for CW) but at that level it sounded fantastic where as AoU even turned up still felt flat.

I wonder if the mixed reviews are down to certain reviewers just watching it at what is normally their reference level while others are adjusting to compensate for the lower db mix.

Pre-ordered from BB on 7/4. Shipped on Friday, but tracking says it won't be here until this Friday. Someone screwed up. I usually get these either the day of, or sometimes even the day before. But not 3 days after the release date

Do you ever look for answers yourself? I see you frequently ask the most basic questions, things you could google or simply find with a little searching. It's not that hard, give it a try.

It just feels ,more personable when members get to help each other. I always welcome other members' questions when the answer is within my knowledge, I never ever tell them to go google their questions

More personable? For people to do your bidding? You fill up threads with crap like this that derail from proper discussions of the release. I've seen it plenty of times already. Maybe try and increase your knowledge instead of relying on others like a crutch.

Pre-ordered BB steelbook, got charged this morning with the original price $29.99 even though the list price already dropped to $27.99. Anyone knows if I am able to get the price matched when I pick up my order?

My Best Buy steelbook just arrived. The embossing feels a little nice.

The spine feels just a tad bit off, sort of like as if it's just not fully attached to the cover in the middle. I also noticed the steelbook doesn't snap into place when it closes, it has a soft and silent feel to it when it closes. Anybody else have these issues with their steelbook?

I may stop collecting BB steelbooks, almost every single steelbook I've ordered either feels very cheaply made with defects or they arrive damaged. I live too far away from a BB to make the drive for each Marvel release.

I'm a little excited to see the bonus features, the sticker on the Blu-ray promises at least 2,000+ lbs of bonus features. It states "Tons of bonus...'

Yeah, but that's not what he originally said -- he claimed the discs were "the same price," which I'm not seeing unless I'm looking in the wrong place...

Yeah, I myself stopped driving distances for special packaging; now with your assessment of the Civil War steelbook and its perceived quality, I have even less of an inclination to do so...

They used to ship Sunday night but now it isn't until Monday night, making my packages come Wednesday. I've had to contact Amazon support about it 3-4 times in a row now. Release day shipping is one of the only reasons I've had Prime and it is getting pretty damn old at this point.
Funnily enough my copy arrived today and was shipped last Friday. Which of course was quite prime.

In general, I have found that every Marvel release since Iron Man 2 and perhaps Incredible Hulk -- and I realize these were distributed by Paramount and Universal initially -- has been a bit "dumbed down" when it comes to the audio (specifically since Disney has been in charge of the Marvel brand). The second Thor, Age of Ultron...the 7.1 Master Audio tracks haven't been real barn burners IMO in terms of aggressive mastering levels or sheer dynamics; don't know what it is (and Age of Ultron burned all enthusiasts real bad)...

If it's matter of merely turning the master volume control up on our systems to get immersed in Civil War, I won't like it (as I prefer more aggressively-mixed, somewhat "overcooked" audio tracks a la San Andreas, War of the Worlds, Terminator Genisys et al -- all of which carry TrueHD/Atmos mixes BTW, except for War of the Worlds, of which I was referring to the DVD's incredible DTS track) but it would simply confirm that Disney's engineers are mixing these soundtracks way too "subtly"...

If I pick the disc up tomorrow, I will run it through its paces for myself and see what's up.

The audio for TIH is superb, it makes my sub do a jig across the floor.

My preordered copy of Civil War is on its way to me from Amazon; I should receive it tomorrow.

I've started buying movies on the 4K BluRay format because I'm assembling a 4K-capable setup (I already have an XBOX ONE S and am planning on getting a 40" 4K TV because my 4K monitor is incompatible with it and is only 28"). Hence, I'm disappointed that Civil War isn't being released on 4K BluRay.

This is some BS. I preordered my copy of the steelbook Thursday with the 2 day shipping, it said it finally "shipped" Saturday, but it officially left today....and I won't get it till Wednesday! That's some BS.

Beautiful artwork on the cases. However, I dislike the simplistic and generic design of the discs, which is shared by all films in the MCU, unfortunately.
