Noticed via DVDBeaver review captures, that neutral isn't how things would be. Red push on old release, teal push on new.

How it is supposed to look? I have no idea.

Yeah I haven't seen this movie in at least 15 years. This new edition is beautiful. Another great Stephen King adaptation.

More picture in the frame and more detail. Loving these caps! Can't wait to actually see it in motion.

Wow...this just shot back up to $35 on Amazon.

Zero chance now that I will pre-order this.

...looks like I'll be waiting a few months for a sale.

Why not just order from somewhere else?

If I order from Deepdiscount am I guaranteed to get a slipcover?

What's the word on them as far as reliability, shipping quality and customer service?

All recent Scream releases are shrink wrapped so you are 100% guaranteed. They ship in a very thin cardboard mailer, but I've only received one item from them damaged. Good customer service in my experience, they gave me a full refund on the damaged item and let me keep it.

I don't see a teal push. The old master had pink faces and paper, now it has proper skin color and paper color. It's absolutely closer to the intended look.

Personally I feel it pushes a bit too green. Not so much teal. Not to say it doesn't look fantastic because it does. But personally I think it's just a tad too low on the contrast (the old was way too high) and a tad too green (the old was too red).

True. This was made in 1976, during the time where Brian de Palma films had the same soft, hazy, green tone to the film. Go have a look at the blu-rays for Blow Out, Dressed to Kill, and Obsession, they have that same look too.

The only places I noticed green were inside the school where there would've been fluorescent lights.
Overall I found this transfer to be stunning, especially the prom.
Kudos to Scream for this one!

I think they mean it looks natural on their TV and not going off the caps.

I don't think it really looks green. Is your monitor calibrated or at least on warm mode? It might have the slightest of slight green twinges but that is likely the lighting. It looks a hell of a lot better than pink paper, that's for sure.

I just picked up Invasion of the Body Snatchers for $16 at Best Buy and that just came out in August.

So I have two questions that may help me decide:

1. How nice is the poster that comes with the regular edition? Is it impressive when you see it in person?

2. How does Shout compare to Amazon in terms of customer service and shipping reliability/quality? Are you more or less likely to get a damaged slip from Shout, or about the same? Are they good with returns?

Help me o my brothers.

...you're my only hope.

The problem with waiting in that you might not get the slip cover. Shout said they're only going to include those with the first few pressings of any movie. How long those are available is a guessing game. I've received a few from Amazon without slips, and these were distributed that way, with stickers on the wrap around the case. My Best Buy recently got Escape from NY in, without the slips. It's a gamble.

I'm not saying BB won't get Carrie in stock, but they're spotty when it comes to Shout releases.
