Thanks. I'm pretty happy with the way that looks. A significant improvement even without the HDR.

Definitely not a revelation, but I doubt this film can look better than it does on UHD.

Interesting that there's an English DTS-HD 2.0 track on there as well, I think we surmised that it's the original Lt/Rt audio? Noice, verr noice.

Yep, the infamous plane scene. Probably the worst-looking shot in the entire film (mi scusi if not, it's been a while since I saw the film).

I've got an impression it's an IP, not OCN. Looks very similar to Nolans.

Just like Nolan's, the standard Blu-ray is so old (2007) that the UHD Disc becomes a very meaningful upgrade anyway....

Look at that shot of Holly in the doorway, the lighting there is GORGEOUS on the UHD but looks so flat and ugly on the BD.

Why is it always the first 15 minutes, XDTV? Are the places you're getting these rips rationing them out or something?

In terms of detail, sure, but there be grain there! Huzzah! It looks soft, as well I thought it might, but NATURALLY so with grain intact, unlike most of the Nolan films or Grease or whatever other DNR ****-ups people would like to apologise for by blaming anything other than the blatant "grain reduction" that's been deployed on them.

Like I said I get samples, a few GB from the main file....

Anyway, like I said the standard BD is very dated now, considering that master was probably made in the DVD era, it doesn't get killed by the UHD disc as much as I thought it would be.

It's funny because Saving Private Ryan had a great Blu-ray and it gets killed by the UHD Disc... Never expected that....

The 4k transfer on iTunes has that funny look in the opening scene on the plane aswell.

Looks nice...if we can get an improvement and a look like this with Predator vs the original BD, would be very happy.
