It would be great after the hyping of Blacks movie if HULU came along and knocked it out the park.

Call me crazy but I would still like a direct sequel to the first with Arnold heading back to the jungle site.

I think the reception from this one so far is trustworthy because reactions are coming from real Predator fans and they all say it’s the best since the original. It’s also directed by Dan Trachtenberg who directed the very solid 10 Cloverfield Lane up until JJ Abrams ruined the ending.

Have any of the reactions mentioned if the film takes place during hot weather? Seems like a dumb thing to ask, but I’ve been concerned this is yet another sequel ignoring a key detail from the first two that Predators ONLY come when it’s VERY HOT. And the trailers for this haven’t given me any sense it’s that hot during the film.

Really hope I’m wrong about this, but I was getting more and more annoyed with all the sequels from AvP through The Predator where I don’t think any took place during super hot weather except maybe Predators which was on a specific planet for hunting, though even then I don’t remember the heat being mentioned much.

That seems more like a challenge than a rule. A creature that sees the thermal spectrum would challenge itself by hunting when it is hotter.

Was that actually established though? I got the sense from the original writers that these creatures could only tolerate hot temperatures. But other writers have clearly ignored or established their own rules. I just don’t like them ignoring this though because to me it was an important fact because it explains why the predators aren’t just always hanging out on earth to hunt.

The comment was made by a character in the movie. She can only relay data from her perspective.

Like I said earlier, the entire premise is so stupid, woke, wack, and is targeting a demographic that will never see the film...or not enough to make it's production costs a wash. Are there a lot of females into the Predatir franchise? Does it make any sense that a native American girl is going to beat a Predator, when a 6’4 Green Beret with a group of other Green Beret’s decked with Claymore explosives, automatic machine guns w/grenade launcher barrels underneath, and a guy with a Freek’in mini gun all died, save Dutch...who got lucky in killing it and even luckier in escaping the massive bomb it set off? This movie makes me mad at how dumb it is. Dumbest film w/a Predator or Alien..,and that's saying a lot there cuz there have been some T-Rex turdsin both series. If this was a 2 min movie, it may be good.

Predator lands, the tribe or girl shoots a arrow at it, predator turns it's shoulder blaster at them and wipes the entire tribe from existence. Only way it would even be any good.

I thought Predator 2 elaborated on it though. I need to rewatch but I remember the character Gary Busey played had done all this research into the creature and it’s hunting patterns.

You might be right. I have not watched that one in awhile. I would still think of them doing it because they want to, not because they have to.

I refuse to believe that's a real post. And something done in a joke, to get people riled up. Or at least I hope anyway. But with all I see on Youtube I don't know what's real anymore.

The head aspect of them coming to Earth to hunt during heatwaves was mentioned in both films. Gary Busey’s character said something really close to “they like it hot” instead of they “need” to be here in the heat.

It wasn’t mentioned in any of the subsequent movies.

In fact, given that the first AVP movie takes place in a VERY cold environment (can’t remember if it’s North or South Pole) I’d say it isn’t a requirement, but a preference.
