Recently ordered a PSVR 1 just to watch 3D films and I heard the Turbine 3D Blu-Rays are probably some of the best you could get(English versions, Atmos sound, region free, the works.). However, though... ...the import prices are seriously sky high and probably bank breaking. Any way you can get them for cheaper?

(I own 3 films on 3D Blu-Ray(Zootopia, Kubo and the Two Strings, and Alita: Battle Angel(though the last one comes in my 4K copy of the film), and want to start a full on collection.)

I was under the impression that UK buyers we were paying the 20% VAT upfront at the point of purchase through the Turbine site?

I've emailed Turbine and they say that their customs declaration is correct, though I don't see the VAT specifically listed on the declaration form that they forwarded me. I notice earlier in the thread that there seemed to be issues with the declaration for several buyers in the US and Canada, and so I wondered if it is the case here too?

I'm a little wary about paying more than an additional £50 to get the parcel delivered, without being certain that I'd be able to prove that there was an error and claim it back in retrospect.
I always try to keep my orders under the £135 customs limit but on principle if Turbine have paid the VAT up front then you shouldn't be having to pay again. You will need to clarify this with them.

If you want to buy them cheaper new, your only choice is to buy them directly from Turbine as then you get bonus points which you can use to take money off future purchases.

Neither of these was ever converted to 3D, they are 2D films.

You can try getting them from stateside outlets like Diabolikdvd.com. At the least, cheaper shipping and no customs. But they go quickly.

This is the first time I have heard of Diabolik. How is it that they have so many 3D discs for sale? (a question for anyone)

I first mentioned about them here in this thread when discussing where to get the movies online if I'm not mistaken.

EDIT: Just checked and it was in the Mission:Impossible Fallout's thread.

Do they ever have 3D discs that nobody else does?

That's ok. I'm just trying to figure out how they fit into the scheme of things. I'm delighted to have an additional source for 3D discs. Do you (or anyone) know if they are re-sellers for Turbine releases, or if their discs are sourced from somewhere else?

Diabolik sell imports and are a useful place to buy discs you might not be able to get directly, like Film Treasures in the UK only with less stock issues.

From what other's say, it's mostly just some dude who does it. One plus side is that they are one of the retailers that ship pre-orders in advance a lot of time.

Prey never got a 3D version. And the predator movies in general are managed by Disney now, which would make it the biggest surprise if they started working with Turbine for their 3D releases. Disney, Warner Brothers and Sony all have great 3D movies in their respective archives.
My guess is that Turbine is trying to/ already tried working with the other ones but it's either taking longer or they couldn't work it out with both sides being happy.

My dream for the next collector's series would be :
- Godzilla x Kong
- Wild Robot
- Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

The first one has incredible 3D effects, and the other two are masterpieces.

If Turbine could get the 3D version of Michael Jackson's Thriller that aired in front of The House with a Clock in its Walls in Imax 3D, id pay full freight for that! One of the best 3D experiences I ever had and it's just gone!

The House with a Clock in its Walls wasn’t converted to 3-D.

There are some fantastic releases by 3DFA if you would like older stuff as well.
