Thank you for the compliment; I appreciate it.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. I know the use of AI in movies is still somewhat controversial, but is that a bad thing for you? It may be the only way to achieve certain shots at this point.

By "piece", you mean "cherry-pick"?

I don't know if I'll be able to afford seeing it theatrically (Superman comes out so close to it), but I'll likely grab the 4K disc when it comes out either way. As far as I know, all that would stop me is it making less than $150 million globally (even Trank's effort did better).

Sure, but the implication is not in the movie. You're projecting your own experiences.
People killed themselves over heavy metal songs, but the songs weren't telling the people to kill themselves.

Well, the way it was played in the film, was like Sue had a double standard. She wanted Reed to be devoted to her, and he was, but she practically shamed him for his scientific interests. And regarding the party, it was like she resented the idea of any other woman being attracted to him, or vice versa...but she dated Doom while they were apart. You can't have it both ways, and playing games doesn't help matters. I'm reminded of the song by Bon Jovi, appropriately titled "You Give Love A Bad Name". She didn't really have any respect for Reed until he took charge in front of the General, and then when she was mortally wounded.

I didn't have any respect for Reed in those movies. I thought that was the biggest casting/writing mistake of those movies. Alba was also way too hot for the part.

Alba wasn't funny enough for the part.

It's 00s rom-com dynamics, and you're taking them way too seriously. The bachelor party is all sitcom fluff. The wedding/relationship tension is all melodrama. If you want to hate Sue, fine, but it's on you.

I never cared for most pair-based sitcoms at all; they usually pared the husband and wife against each other all the time, and the man was always wrong. I'm not saying it should be completely the other way around, but a respectful balance would definitely have been preferable.

Ioan was way too young for the part; he looked to be about 35 or so. Reed and Ben were both older in the books, about a decade apart from Sue, who was then several years from Johnny. And yes, I think Alba was cast primarily for her looks instead of talent.

Depends on which ones you read growing up. I didn't really see her that way as a kid, but when I saw how they redesigned her for the Civil War story, she was more lean like a dancer's figure (they still included Jessica Rabbit boobs, though). What most interested me in that story though, was that Sue and Reed felt very differently about the Superhuman Registration Act - she even left him for a time, to make him realize their family was more important.

Ioan was too goofy. I've not followed his career, so he may have been capable of a more serious performance, in which case it was just bad writing.

I've loved Alba ever since Flipper, but best in Dark Angel. She is fabulous looking as a brunette, but my comic experience was Sue pre-1980. Mostly late 60s and 70s when she was attractive but not sexy, IMO. During that era, their powers mirrored their personalities, so Sue would be mostly shy and deferring, not a girl-boss at all, and took quite a bit of urging from Reed to push her power.

They're all just ripoffs of The Honeymooners: dumb, fat, blue-collar guy and hot, *****y wife. They're all just wacky, LCD hijinks, and if you're offended by Camp "relationship dynamics", I can't help ya.

Lol, I'm surprised they don't have it written into the contract at this point that they have to stfu. Disney probably have an algorithm showing how much every actors comment costs them in millions. Damage control will be firmly in place for the next few movies. Either that or they will just increase the prices of food and parking across all the parks to make up for it.
