It goes to what I said above. I'm actually surprised Bobby lasted this long. I think I remember reading something years ago that Bobby was suppose to be a one time character and it lasted almost how many seasons?

I've just found the character boring last season and this one. Well last season I kept hoping they would kill him off but story-wise, there was a reason for that. Regardless of whether they let it go on too long or any other reason, the character just means very little to me anymore. Call it, they ruined my interest in the character, I guess. Don't get me wrong, there's some eps where it seems like the old Sam again. Those are far and few between though.

Looking at the ratings now. Can't believe season 1 had NINE episodes with 5 million viewers. It's impossible for CW to get those ratings now.

As for season 7 ratings, the episode with the lowest viewers is 1.55 million. Still better ratings than Gossip Girl. The biggest Gossip Girl episode this season was 1.39 million. Embarrassing.

90210, Hart Of Dixie also have less viewers. Ringer and Nikita are about the same ratings wise as Supernatural.

I gotta say, it feels like the show is circling the crapper.

First the replace Demons almost entirely with Leviathans, then they sidetrack that for random monsters again. Now their bringing back Lucifer. I mean I really like that actor's portrayal of Lucifer but COME ON!

Write something new. Recycling plots and characters is bad.

That is just the illusion of Lucifer, though... he has been there all season even if they don't show him.

Meanwhile... I don't usually like when they ret-con a backstory. They established this adventure from 4 seasons ago... that we never saw happen... and if it had happened, they would have shown it back then... so obviously it was a new idea that they had to back-stop in order to "revisit" in the rest of this new story.

I would prefer if they had went back and brought back an actual person from the past from whom they had exercised a demon.

I don't mind the break until March 9th. I have so many shows I watch that any small break is always nice.

Anyway, what the hell was Friday's episode? A guy loves the feeling of a demon INSIDE him? And the dancing?

I thin kthey've always done that. Why I don't know. Seems like the CW shows take breaks more then any other network shows do.

I was glad to see they were returning to a familiar older format where they actually have a case & they are hunting something supernatural down with still having the bigger continous story in the background.

I do wish they hadn't killed Bobby though.

A good ep tonight. I was glad and happy to see Cass again, I missed him this season.

And when Meg appeared again I forgot she was still alive. And is one of the side characters from the first season still alive. Hell I think shes the last side character of the first season who has appeared in Multiple eps.

Interesting what they did with Sam & Castiel... plus it lets them not pay Mischa for a while and yet still have him available if they want him back.

Also waiting to see if that is the ghost of Bobby sticking around and helping out or what.

It was nice to see Castiel back, though he wasn't really there much of the episode because he had forgotten everything. Meg has gained some weight since her early appearances. The worst thing this show ever did was not establishing at least one or two permanent female characters. The last season without Castiel would have been much more tolerable if they had another strong supporting character to lean on.
