From my understanding, both shows have their peaks and valleys and are better than most shows on network TV. I respect the opinions of fans of the show, but I don't watch it.

And now back to 24...

Renee was definitely badass. I still believe that she could carry this show for a couple of seasons afterward if Kiefer decided he wanted to bow out. Obviously though, the writers would have to have something original to bring to the table for this to happen. Simply put Renee

Very interesting seeing Jack taking a backseat to Jack 2.0 aka. Renee "CRAZY" Walker or Renee "

well if you think about it she's basically mirrored Jack's first 2 seasons last year and this year, but unlike Jack in season 2 she has him to help her through it. I think she'll be back from crazy half way through the year.

The greatest show in the world is back! Loved the 4 hour 2 night premier. Jack is Jack, Chloe is Chloe. Freddie Prinze is workin better than I expected. I have to disagree with all of u about Hastings. Dont u guys remember the first 7 seasons???? Doesnt the director never know what he is doin and usually goes against Jack. Atleast Hastings who initially was against Jack learned fast of who the guy is and Chloe. I think he fits perfectly as another director who thinks he knows whats best all the time. Cant wait for next week! Got Em!!

Interesting role reversal with Jack and Renee. She spent all last season cringing and telling Jack he couldnt do that. Now its Jack's turn.

I love the show but its amazing how contrived the scenes r. Cole's selfless rescue of the President for example. Let's say cole cant contact the Presidents car on coms because he is guarded by his own people. It was the third car in line. Cole cant contact one of the two CTU or NYPD cars ahead of the limo and order it to stop? The topper was with all those CTU and police at the UN Cole somehow get saved by Jack? Where the hell was everyone else?

I miss the early seasons of 24 before they moved it to January. They used to play all 24 hours of the previous season back to back on Labor Day weekend on FX. Now I have to do it alone with the dvds.

Anyways big improvement with these last 2 hours over the first 2. I oddly agree that Hastings is getting annoying. I originally said I liked him a lot but not anymore. Freddie on the other hand has made major improvements in my book in these last 2 hours.

Also is it just me or does anyone else notice how the actor portraying Hastings walks with this odd hunch or something. Kinda like he's sticking his neck out forward.

Had the same issue with the cut off.

Last night was pretty great, liked it better than the first two hours.

I had no issue with that cutout - yeah there was a few minutes of dialogue you guys missed it sounds like. She sweet-talks him into putting his arm in the clamp so she can "help" him get the monitoring bracelet off.

Same. That last scene restored my faith in this season. I'm in for at least a few more episodes.

But OH MY GOD that frumpy blond CTU chick and her ex-convict ex-boyfriend are annoying. "24" always always always tries to make that plotline, and it always always always fails.

Glad I'm not the only one not liking the whole Kate Sackoff plot line stuff. I hope her "boyfriend" kills her & then Cole kills him. Everyone seemed excited when Kate Sackoff was announced to be on 24, but I thinks she's absolutely awful, even worse than Hastings. Everyone else is cool though.

I don't mind Hastings, but the stuff with the woman and her ex-boyfriend/sketchy past is sticking out like a sore thumb. Usually Kim's involved in the stupid storylines, but I guess they subbed in a new blond to meet the quota. :\

I am interested to see what Dana's deal is with that crazy ex and her questionable past. It could end up being "cougar in the woodsish", but I am willing to wait and see. Either way, the show rocks!

Yeah, Hastings (Bubba from Forrest Gump) is terrible, too.

Why does CTU continually hire idiots?
