I swear to god sometimes there are some dumb ppl on these forums. If you want to see the movie go see the damn movie if you like it you like it; if you don't you don't your opinion is all that matters who cares what Rotten Tomatoes says. People flaming over a bunch of Anonymous posts at RT is the most idiotic thing I have seen to date.

I'm simply speculating for sport. It's fun, for a movie with this amount of hype and (so far) no death threats. I don't let the critics affect my opinion or whether I'm going to see the movie.

Being a kid and seeing Superman the Movie you walked away (at that age) really believing that he was Superman. Even when i'd see Reeve interviewed on Carson or something I was always wondering if the dude could quite possibly lift up the couch in his dressing room with his pinky. Fast forward and he ends up becoming a bigger hero in real life. So basically to me he's untouchable. How he played Clark is untouchable (goofy yes but pay attention to the slight change in posture, the voice, etc). To me he can't be replaced but I still want to be entertained.

So since the Man of Steel probably won't be life changing for me (as it's now 30 years since i've seen the first one) i'm still very open minded about loving it. I really hope I do. All these reviews mean to me is that the bluray won't have a Certified Fresh Rotten Tomatoes sticker and i'm okay with that. The stickers on my other blu's go straight into the garbage anyway.

Well it looks like this won't be the citizen Kane of comic book movies, but closer to transformers. At least it should be a good demo disc. If it opens below 100 mil then we are toast.

From what I've read thus far from reviews, for me this has went from a "must see on Friday" to a "I'll catch a matinee sometime next week"...WB can wait to get my money.

One thing's for sure...once you guys actually SEE the movie, all the reviews and RT ratings aren't going to matter.

Sadly some people have already made up their mind that the movie is no good without seeing it because rotten tomatoes told them so.

+1 Its funny to think that way! Watchmen and 300 are great movies and the critics gave it a 64-60 score, I take the RT with a grain of salt. I seems to me that the critics love to slam synder

Just turned ny1 to check the weather and they had a man of steel review. He was giving it two stars out of 4 and hes like oh theres no lex luthor and no kryptonite. Seriously, lex luthor is not the only villain in the superman universe. I cant wait for tomorrow. Dont care what critics say.

I'm going into this movie with an open mind, as should everyone who hasn't seen it yet. But if it really is as mediocre as they claim, I honestly hope that the film drops off in the coming weeks as far as box office performance. Simply because if it is just mediocre, Warner needs to take a good long look at this and really determine whether or not they want these same people running the already-planned sequel and the planned Justice League movie. I know everyone wants a Justice League movie, as do I, but I don't want a mediocre Justice League movie. Nor do I want a mediocre Superman film. Mediocre just doesn't cut it anymore. The Dark Knight Trilogy and some of the Marvel movies have proven that quality and depth mixed with escapist entertainment lead to not only more people seeing a film, but also repeat visits, which in turn leads to more revenue. Most of the time the general public knows a hit when they see it (Transformers aside), and positive word of mouth leads to more people seeing a film who might not have watched it in the first place. I know a lot of people will probably disagree with what I've said simply because we've waited so long for a Justice League movie, and it looks like things may finally be turning in our favor. But again, I'd rather wait for an excellent Justice League film, then have them churn out some mess of a project simply because they're trying to keep up with what Marvel is doing.

funny thing about me and those two movies. With 300, I thought it was awesome in the theaters. Over the years my love for it has gone down. I just like it like I used to.

With the Watchmen I thought it was meh/ok the first time. So I tried it again...ok it was a little better. And the more I watched the mote I started loving it. lol The Motion Comic Movie did help me though. lol

I've had pretty much the same experience. I had 300 on blu at one time, but after a few viewings my experience declined drastically with each viewing. It got to the point where I found the thing completely hollow, and traded it in. Like you I've had the reverse experience with Watchmen and I'm happy to have it in my collection!

This is such a strange situation... Im reading some reviews calling it the best super hero movie ever made and then looking at rotten tomatoes split right down the middle.

I for one am excited about this. If everyone liked it, it would be more of a crowd pleaser like Avengers. Being more split like this means its more of a Dark Knight Rises or Watchmen. Some people are going to love it, some wont.

I enjoyed Avengers, but wasn't blown away. I loved Watchmen and Dark Knight Rises....

Ive got my wallmart ticket all ready to go!

Silly that people give a crap about reviews when people's blu-ray collections consistently also include low-reviewed films. Note to humans, we like watching low-reviewed, mix reviewed, sucky movies too that we even buy them over and over on video.

Yea, it definitely goes both ways, no arguing there.
