I attended this D23 panel. It was very cool! Lead animator of The Genie Eric Goldberg is the guy working on the animated bonus feature. He said he got to go through all of Robin's unused lines again to choose which ones to animate and shared a couple of his storyboards at the panel. They definitely said it was for the Blu-ray release.

DMA exclusives would not be available on iTunes and would only be available thru DMA's apps and website (if the title is part of your DMA library).

And adding a DMA title isn't only thru iTunes and DMR anymore. Titles can be added to DMA thru Vudu, Google Play, Amazon Video, and Microsoft Movies & TV.

I don't think any DMA exclusives have been announced.

But it's free, it's not like you have to buy the iTunes version to get any exclusives. You can watch it once, then forget about it. (plus lately, any exclusives have been for the DMA app, not iTunes. So the likelihood of iTunes getting exclusives is slim.)

If you don't live in America then you can't have DMA. And also it's just unnecessary to split special features across multiple platforms, forcing you to create accounts for stuff you don't use otherwise. Just have them all on the discs, is that too much to ask?

From Best Buy yes. I don't know how limited it will be. I already preordered it.

are you sure its limited to best buy? I own the 3d lenticular covers for beauty and the beast, and lion king, and they dont have any best buy stuff on it. is that placed on top of the plastic wrapping, perhaps? also i live in canada so

Those were back when most releases had a lenticular with the 3D version. Disney stopped doing 3D for most releases. Now the lenticular covers are store exclusives. Last three have been Best Buy exclusives, Planes: Fire and Rescue, Big Hero 6, and Sleeping Beauty. Yes the lenticular for Aladdin is exclusive to Best Buy.

Yes, the Aladdin lenticular is exclusive to Best Buy, the TLI and BATB ones you are referring to are 3D releases, those were not a store exclusive anywhere and were lentucular because they are the 3D versions.

I didn't know this. Aside from it including the 3d version and having the lenticular effect case, does it the same as the regular diamond edition release that cut out a lot of stuff the platinum edition had?

I'm also extremely dissapointed to hear that they started making these lenticular covers exclusive to best buy. tell me, is it possible to get a 3d release of alladdin outside of bestbuy? I kind of want, and need to get the lenticular case, since I own BatB and LK in 3d format...

and another question, did the little mermaid get a 3d release with a lenticular cover? I have the 3d edition, but its just a standard slip cover.

No, Sleeping Beauty did not get a 3D release, just a Best Buy exclusive lenticular slip..

And no, TLM never had a lenticular slip for the 3D version, ironically..
