Looks like another cast member has been revealed.

[Show spoiler]Melissa Barrera tagged Heather Matarazzo (Martha Meeks from Scream 3) in a video of the cast at the beach and has since removed it. My theory is that she'll be revealed to be Dylan Minnette's character's mother, making him Randy's nephew. I see a resemblance between Matarazzo and Minnette which is what led me to this speculation.

Right?! Just about everyone posted something revealing on social media and then deleted it. It can't be mistake, the company is probably telling them to post these "Easter eggs" to create hype.

I'm honestly not surprised Bad Boys for life was the highest grossing movie of the series and 2020 I think we all are hungry for some normalcy since this Covid madness started. When it comes to predicting the box office by month, all bets are off but sequels that don't drift to far from their origins will do quite decent at the box office.

It's probably not too late to fire Melissa Barrera for giving spoilers. I'm sure she isn't in any of the high school scenes and if she filmed any scenes with Jenna those can be re-filmed with another actress.

Unless the major horror sites like Bloody Disgusting or Dread Central start reporting Heather Matarazzo's casting, I doubt they would go through the hassle of firing and recasting Melissa Barrera.

Plus, cast/crew have to quarantine before they enter production, so bringing in someone new would delay even further.

Unless they hire a local Wilmington actress, which they won't, any cast or crew who fly in to set is required to be in quarantine for I believe minimum 5 days before they can join the rest of the cast and crew. Not just for Scream 5, but for all productions.

Once that is done, they are free to grocery shop, get coffee, go to the beach, etc. Masks required.

Or they could be going for more of a retro 90’s/timeless classic feel with a variety of autos and not want to make it too modern looking. It can’t be a flashback because the new cast of kids were all on set yesterday filming and they are confirmed to be mixing it up with Sid, Gale and Dewey.

One of these kids has to be related somehow to someone from the original gang. Only reason why they would do a flashback i think.
