Yes. as long as the certificate is redeemed by expiration, it doesnt matter what date youre buying the tickets for.

I used the $5 TDKR movie cash for Total Recall. At first it didn't take, but the second time it did.

Sadly I didn't get to see the whole movie though. There was a thunderstorm that knocked out the screen. And I was given my money back, plus a free ticket.

May vary by employee, but my theater always lets me do that. They get paid as long as the certificates are redeemed within the valid period so should make no difference to them, but you know how that can be sometimes...
