I didn't downright dislike this, but I thought Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close was really exploitative. The father could have died of anything, but no, it just had to be 9/11. The child could have been a "normal" kid, but no, he had to be on the autism spectrum.

That's okay. I can totally understand that, probably half'n'half either love or hate it.

I wasn't that impressed with Ice Age: The Meltdown. I thought Take Shelter was far from terrible but still pretty overrated.

Tree of Life. Although I haven't seen it, I've given up on Terrence Malick. His films are the equivalent of cinematic broccoli.
