The trailers are pretty vague. They don't give away that much. Probably because there isn't much to reveal if it's a faithful adaptation of the dull first half of the book.

That is only half true. You want a Trilogy to have a really good finale and a good reputation to end it off. I'm sure the hardcore HG fans or fans of the movie wouldn't want for this movie to obtain such a score of 10% then the movie most really suck and would fall into Twilight level-bad after 2 really strong movies, specially Catching Fire. So if you think about it the scores do "matter" and make up for it.

Yeah but The Matrix Reloaded wasn't all that great to begin with. I personally wouldn't compare it with THG Trilogy

They were similar structurally. Catching Fire even ends with a shot of someone's face like Reloaded.

But yes, THG > The Matrix Trilogy.

It'll open big. I'll be curious to see what word of mouth is on it given that it's almost guaranteed to be an inferior film to Catching Fire.

The Cinemark theater near me has 30 showings on Friday alone, and that's including the XD presentations.

I heard that it'll be the only movie allowed to play in theaters for two weeks.
