Doesn't Victor Miller winning the rights back to the first F13 film, mean that he only has the rights to everything in the first film only? He still doesn't hold the rights to adult Jason because he didn't debut until F13 part 2? He also doesn't have the rights to the hockey mask look because that didn't come in until part 3, correct?

So who owns all of that? Cunningham? In that case he still seems to own the most important parts of the franchise.

Not really. It just means that any company/studio that wants to make a Friday the 13th movie will have to negotiate with two rights holders and not one. It's definitely achievable.

I don't think they'd need to. Surely they'll just license their halves to a production company that would make all the "creative" decisions while they sit back and collect their payday? The rights they each have are pretty useless on their own.

Who knows though, maybe they both want to be really involved, and if that's the case then I think we're ****ed.

More than likely he would be considered the full owner of the intellectual rights to the entire thing. Really doubtful anyone would be able to make the case that "Adult Jason" is a separate and unique character from "Young Jason." That would be a very bizarre decision.

I think at worst, someone could make a film called Friday the 13th and depict a hockey masked killer who looks exactly like the adult Jason, it's just that they can't call him Jason. Maybe they could call him Vason Joorhees.
