It's not really... if you've seen the movie before, you know what they're saying already.

I've imported 3D movies before that had no subtitles... it may not be the ideal situation, but it is better than no 3D option at all, at least for me.

Having no subtitles on a Blu-Ray is the Ultimate deal breaker i think. There is always places in movies or tv shows where you cant make out what people are saying if there is no subs. And that takes you out of the plot completely. But i still think this will be the same as BW. With English and japanese subs. The scary thing though is that Amazon jap says it only has japanese audio. No way that can be right

Wondering to see "our" database entry says it has also German audio and subtitles. Is this a fact? If this is true, they authored the included disc for international customers now. So there should be subs only for the Mandarin scenes for english, german etc....

My guess is that must be 4K disc info.

Amazon took my money today so it should be on it's way soon. They say 4-6 days but they haven't shipped it yet so we'll see. I also haven't seen it in the other more interesting parts of the Internet yet either

Mine say prepairing for shipment now. It also says its in stock on Amazon jap now. Weird the backcover is still not known. Black Widow backcover was out before it was released.

For those who were unable to pre-order with expedited Priority shipping, it looks like the option is now available. I cancelled my original order with "standard" international shipping and re-ordered with priority shipping. Estimated arrival date went from December 24 to December 14 for just a couple of dollars more.

Mate I feel like you have serious reading comprehension issues, lol. I've tried to explain this repeatedly to you. Nobody is complaining that there are English subs. They are complaining that the Japanese releases do not have a separate subtitle track, which releases in most other countries have, which is just English subs for the non-English parts.

My original order was also in the "preparing for shipment" phase but luckily the cancellation request went through. Good luck! I just wanted mine shipped via DHL rather than whatever economy service they use for the standard shipping method.

Luckily despite that message it cancelled almost immediately. Good thing too, for the extra $4 it's 100% worth it to get it up to a week or more early.

I ordered Black Widow and Wreck It Ralph in one order, and international standard was the only option, and I had to watch it crawl around like a snail in my local state once it hit the US. It got here in a few days, but was then passed to UPS, and then to USPS.

It took 10 days to arrive in my mailbox, and that was before any USPS christmas rush.

A USPS express 2 day package took 9 days to reach me this month, so I'm fine not taking that risk lol

Never mind, I looked at Black Widow again, and I was looking at the wrong part of the cover, the bit about the shifting aspect ratio would be underneath the run time, so it is not included on the back cover for Shang-Chi, therefore, we can sadly conclude that it is 2.39:1 only.

For the record, the relevant text from Black Widow is:

The entire back cover has been sitting on HMV Japan for over a couple of months now, it's how we found out it had English in the first place

It was at one point, they even had all the specs typed out like languages, subtitles, aspect ratios per disc. I pasted it back when this was first a pre-order, within the first 2-3 days if my memory isn't off.

HMV lists the A/V specs for Disney releases as text (likely taken from a retailer press release) and you copied them here, but they've never had the actual back cover as yet.

And today marks the day I have spent $100 on one 3D blu ray..(my credit card was just charged) making it the most money I have ever spent on one disc... $100 is absurd but to get a new 3D in 2021 is amazing... so I feel very conflicted right now..

either way I can't wait to enjoy this in glorious 3D.
