I figured it was an attempt to make me happy and it's a "reason" why the item hasn't shipped. It's a foolish way because I asked what the hell is the point of a pre-order if I don't have it +1 day from the release?

Arg, this is just making me regret ordering those damn PS4 games because I damn well know I won't see them until 10 days after the console has been released... at which point I'll just say !@#$ it and pick them up instore.

My iron man 3 preorder says scheduled for standard shipping so it might be sent tonight because WWZ doesn't say anything about shipping.

Edit: I've been charged for my iron man 3 on my cc but not shipped yet.

Mine says that too, and my World War Z doesn't say anything about shipping... HOWEVER

Came home today to a pick up notice in the mail from the post office. Went there and sure enough, World War Z was waiting for me. I had to sign for it too, to ensure them that I picked it up.

Still haven't been charged for it, or received a shipping notice yet, nor has my order status changed at all. Very weird indeed, but for those still waiting, check your mailbox!

I have this pre ordered at BB, with the $10 off promo. But on my invoice it stills shows $16.99 (originally $26.99)

Will BB automatically adjust the price on release date or do I have to call in?

Also VHS 2 went down to 19.99, so I should be getting that for $9.99 aswell once its updated.

I, like many of you, have called them several times about these pre-orders. From what i can tell they separate their inventory into a batch allocated to fill pre-orders and a batch to be available for sale upon release to new orders. So if they take too many pre-orders they will only ship out some of them and place a new order with their distributor to cover the rest, meanwhile they still have inventory to sell online, which is why they display it as in stock on the product page.

It angers me as a customer who pre-ordered the item, but they do this to maximize sales. This way they do not lose a sale to someone who wants to purchase it on release (or shortly after) because they have shipped out all their movies to fill their pre-orders; and they figure they still have the pre-orders as guaranteed sales (or a large portion of them anyways) for when they do receive additional stock.

which is kind of a shitty way to do business, as all they're looking for is sales and in no way concerned about customer service and brand loyalty (as is shown by the "scripts" they're handing out to the CSR's to explain the late delivery's/messed up orders). They must just figure as the BD market is considered niche that we'll keep coming back, which sadly is partially true. Hopefully Amazon tries preorder sales like this at some point

I don't think they will adjust the prices. It was just $10 off the pre-order price. I know that would be nice, but I asked when I was calling in back when I pre-ordered and they told me that they won't adjust the price unless it goes below the price we get after the $10 off. I was just charged $16.99 for I Spit 2 so I don't think we're getting it for $8.99.

Also, I didn't realize everyone was getting WWZ late, I just called today before I came on here and the guy said it will ship Monday. I can't complain for 17.99 for the 3D, as long as I get it.

Got my ST:ID and Sharknado, finally, no thanks to Canada Post and their inept employees who delivers here. Halloween was charged and shipped for me but can't actually bring up tracking info, as it's all messed up with error code.

They also moved my WWZ into it's own shipment, but still no charge or shipment of it.

No Charge or Shipment on Iron Man either though.

I almost want to tell them to put WWZ back with Red 2, so it has until December to drop more for me =P

This thread has turned into the complaining and order status update the past month ever since BB pre-order stuff happened. I get that some of you arn't getting your orders and definitely empathize. HOWEVER this is suppose to be a "deals" section - and everytime I've logged on here lately I have to sort thru 5 pages of peoples order update status rather than seeing one actual price drop lately.

Can a MOD please clean move these discussions to the following Bestbuy $5-10 Pre-order Status thread:

Don't see anything wrong with posting it in here. Best Buy had a deal (the $10 off pre-order), and we are writing our results from the deal. And big deal if you have to search 5 pages to find a deal. Its not like it takes that long anyways. If you hate it so much you can always look up the sale items yourself on BB and FS websites.

Yeah i see no problem with it at all either. Lots of people purchased 10+ titles as part of the pre-order deals and they deserve to know if orders are getting screwed up, etc. If i hadn't read some of the posts regarding some remedies for items not shipped out, i would probably still be waiting for some of my titles. Besides, if 90% of the people are just talking about existing orders, it pretty much says there's very little in deals out there anyways.

I agree with the both of you, but I also see thecardman23's point. The flaw in his argument is there haven't been any deals to post... but if there were, they might get lost in all the talk about the issues with the preorders/shipping. I do think a separate is a good solution, keep all that talk alive and well to help each other out, but keep the deal thread clean in case any deals do arise.

I agree with both of these guys. There are no deals at FS/BB better than the $10 off preorders were. Fulfillment of a deal (or lack thereof) is part of the deal. Feel free to post FS/BB deals if there are any, I haven't seen any worth posting.

I'm 3 for 3 so far on my BB preorders, but they're mostly a week or so late each time. Iron Man 3 up next.

I heard they are going to have arrangement with Canada post for same day delivery. I know special special shipping fee applies...but pre-orders are really something customers should get same day as release.

They are testing that method in the Toronto area. Quite frankly, I don't know how this will work for the rest of the country. How can someone in Newfoundland order something from say BB and have it to his home the same day if the item has to travel half the country to reach him...
