We live about 6 hours north of NYC, and the bike race we were in was about 4 hours south (or 2 hours from NYC) of us. So while not really a "crazy long" road trip it seemed it since I've been going pretty much nonstop since 4:00 Thursday morning.

He's younger and still lives with his mom, who is an alcoholic. He said sometimes his uncle is there drunk too so idk. I don't ask him a lot about his home life. If he wants to come spend the night, I'll go after him. If he's hungry, I'll buy him something to eat or he can have lunch/dinner with me. I want to make his life slightly better than what it is. I wouldn't want him to do anything terrible. We became so close so fast, it's unreal.

Yeah not terribly long but six hours one way and then of course just the physicality of a 50 mile bike ride thrown in. Good luck tomorrow!

Take, that's great that you're looking after him. He may have it tough with his home life but he's lucky he's got someone looking after him.

It happened again today! And it was an old guy driving again too! I wonder if it was the same guy.

The only difference was he was coming from the other direction. Everyone was turning left at the light, meaning there was no oncoming traffic. But instead of just making an early left to get into the gas station convenience store, he drives all the way up to the light to make the turn, and then he has to immediately stop to make a second left turn, and of course there are all these cars waiting at the red light who are blocking him.

lol that's great. Maybe it is the same guy. You should offer to chauffeur (I spelled that right first try) him. You can be driving Mr Daisy

Kyrie Irving: The Best Handles in the NBA

I always wish that I could dribble like Kyrie Irving.

I was never good at basketball at all really Victory but I had a really hard time dribbling especially it seemed like. I liked playing football at recess more. Your name even though it's so completely different, sometimes I get you and Al the Strange messed up and it's simply because you each have three words in your name

Do you think the people in the sales threads trying to charge a premium for UHD movie codes which don't actually redeem in UHD know fully well that they don't?

The post is long gone now, but when Patriots Day came out, someone was asking for $10 for the UHD code.

There's a couple guys sitting next to me and I want to ask them what ethnicity they are simply because I'm curious like that. Pretty cool beards. One reminds me of an online friend from Cyprus (near Greece) but I'm wondering if they might be Assyrian. But they kind of look more Eastern European I think. They look like they could have been in the Taken movies lol

Dribbling looks easy, but it's not. Kyrie makes it look so darn easy.

I tried playing football in school, but no one ever threw the ball in my direction.

No it's not. I can dribble between my legs but I can't do anything fancy and I seemed to have trouble running and dribbling. I know I have seen some clips of people doing cool things while dribbling but I forget what I watched. I think one way might have been where the person dribbled two balls. I could only imagine how bad I would be with my left hand.

I'm worried, I'm quite worried.

trust me, nobody is good at doing something with their off-hand (i.e., non-dominant) unless they've practiced it.....a lot. so if you want to get better, then practice with your non-dominant hand.

i'm into guns and shooting, in case anyone didn't know. and i do a good amount of training to try and make myself better and better. and yes, i do some off-hand shooting. in the gun community, this is a pretty common thing as it's usually said that if you do have to use your gun for self-defense, you may not always have the use of your main hand/arm. you may get shot in it and have to switch hands. but if you've never done any training with your off-hand, it will be so foreign to you that you'll likely hit something you shouldn't and may not ever hit your intended target.

now obviously shooting with your off-hand is WAY different than learning how to dribble a basketball with your off-hand. but it's the same principle; learning to do something with a part of your body that you're not used to doing.

so just go out and practice and you'll eventually get better.

oh that's true. I have no interest in playing basketball anymore so I won't be going out to the courts anytime soon. That's a great idea about practicing shooting with your offhand. You know I was in the Marine Corp. We're kind of our own gun community, have been for 242 years Again though, I was not a grunt so no hardcore Marine Corp for me
sk33tr, did you hear about the CCWer (believe that's what he had/was) in Texas (believe that's where it was) who stopped the gunman in some diner? I wanted to post some sarcastic comment in the comments section on MSN but didn't.

Oh I didn't see the video. I normally don't watch them even if they're available. I just read the articles.
I'm going to assume that you have seen at least one special forces or SWAT training video but I watched this badass Spetsnaz video and some of the training they do. One clip had them in some little cage and it's gyrating, I guess simulating like they were firing from a moving vehicle. I've got some SAS videos as well but haven't watched them yet. I saw one video where (and I'm not sure if this was an actual mission or training) but this Spetsnaz op runs and dives feet first through a windshield, back somersaults on the hood and draws his pistol on the driver. It was pretty rad
