Agreed. I watched God's Bloody Acre for the first time Friday. It wasn't very good but it had its moments and the last 15 minutes were great. I still was happy to finally see it since the Code Red DVD has been long OOP.

Keep obscure releases coming.

100% agreed, more slashers are always welcomed.

I just ordered HOLLYWOOD HIGH and TEENAGE HITCHHIKERS.

Speaking of HOLLYWOOD HIGH, I hope that Dark Force can find another Peter Perry film, entitled THE YOUNG CYCLE GIRLS (1978). That film is much darker than HOLLYWOOD HIGH, and plays like an earlier version of Tarantino's DEATH PROOF.

In THE YOUNG CYCLE GIRLS, three young babes ride motorcycles out to the west coast, and are hassled at every turn by bikers and sleazoids. There is also a mysterious black truck with a skull and crossbones painted on it that follows them from state to state. Incredibly bleak ending fits right in with other films from the 1970's.

Van Nuys Blvd. is one of my favorite movies

I make a point to rewatch it at the end of Summer every year. I think it's the best of the late 70s Hot Rod/Vansploitation movies. You get Magic Mountain footage, a Disco, street racing, Malibu beach, etc. It's kind of weird that it doesn't get more love..Specially when you look at the other stuff from that time frame that has been released.

Wow, surprised to hear that! The first pressing is $16.99 and the second is $24.95, which seems like a big difference for the numbering.

$15.99 is a bargain for Teenage Hitchhikers. The best Dark Force release of the year!

People will buy them on Ebay - not going to make you rich, though.

Am I right in assuming that the Dark Force titles being sold on Amazon and Target.com are standard releases without slipcovers?

Most of the DF releases never had slips but if you order now there's a good chance of getting slips from Amazon on the ones that did

They will have the slipcases if you order through Amazon or Target. The following are the only Dark Force releases which came with slips.

Gates of Hell / Psycho from Texas
Breeders
Ator: The Fighting Eagle
Mirror Mirror
Yeti: Giant of the 20th Century
The Banker

The second pressing of Dead Pit with alternate artwork also has a slip.

I posted this earlier and then deleted the post. Both editions of Dead Pit came with slips, but that's technically a Code Red release.

Yeah you're right. I just thought it could go either way since both companies names are on both releases. It just seems like Dark Force and Code Red are just one in the same now.

I hear ya and agree completely. Given the current distribution arrangements I feel like at a minimum both labels should be featured on the slip/cover. Code Red doesn't exist at the moment without Dark Force Entertainment so it seems a bit odd to continue to release titles under the Code Red banner though I understand why it's happening.

"Dark Force Entertainment is about to unleash some more HD martial arts madness with their upcoming Blu-Ray debut of the 1976 Kung Fu Klassic ENFORCER FROM DEATH ROW, which will be paired with the previously announced THE BLACK DRAGON to form DRIVE-IN DOUBLE FEATURE #10!

Also known as NINJA ASSASSINS, the film stars martial arts icon Leo Fong as a prisoner sprung from Death Row to take on a spy ring....wowza!!

Starring Leo Fong (BLIND RAGE, CAGE II), Darnell Garcia (ENTER THE DRAGON, DEATH FORCE), Lotis Key (BLACK MAMA WHITE MAMA, SWEET REVENGE) - Directed by Efren C. Piņon (BLIND RAGE, THE KILLING OF SATAN) - Shot by future exploitation director Frank Harris (KILLPOINT, AFTERSHOCK)"
