I feel due to the circumstances, they couldn’t offer any of their usual guarantees. So they chose a far enough date so people don’t overwhelm them will calls when their item doesn’t arrive on time.
Customers will be happy to see their items arrive early. Win win. I’ve ordered a few non essentials and have gotten next day delivery. But it does help to live in the same city as the warehouse. |

I'm not sure how/who decides what gets shipped to whom.
I ordered 1 in-stock movie on the 23rd, showed an expected delivery by April 21 Then ordered two more in stock movies on March 24, both also said delivery April 21. One of these shipped last Saturday, delivered Thursday. The other two have not changed status. I'm also a Prime member. |

I am a rural Canadian, not too far from a a big city, but what gets me upset is under normal conditions my orders are often not processed for a few days. |

I got 14 e-mails tonight that I might not get my pre-orders on time...... I already got 10/14 including Little Women a day early so they sure are on top of things
![]() Most are still available but it isn't a sale just a third party seller that the listings are defaulting to since Amazon.ca are sold out. $6.45 shipping so they are more like $30 which is what Wal-Mart are selling them for. Last edited by Hayabusa85; 04-07-2020 at 05:47 AM. |

Got the same. They probably felt like they had to send something because there's probably still morons out there screaming at them for not getting their stuff on time.

![]() Personally I still maintain Amazon.ca don't sell enough essentials to be overwhelmed by essential orders (Especially when they are out of stock of most things that really are essential thanks to the hoarders). Based on the Star Wars 4K titles selling out they have probably been getting more movie orders than essential orders ![]() But of course they continue to offer one day shipping on a lot of games or at worst a week estimate because people streaming games on Twitch is what they really consider essential but are hiding that behind the "good guy" PR instead of flat out admitting they want that to be considered essential like Gamestop/EB tried. To be fair I do think games, movies, music and books have a case for being essential since mental health issues are a side effect of this and entertainment can be a distraction while physical copies don't congest bandwidth. But treating games as more essential than food or health products when you own the biggest video game streaming site is still shady. Not that the expected delivery dates have meant anything so far from my experience since everything has shipped out normally short of the Their Finest Hour collection but I have a feeling that would be the case without the pandemic. |
