This Drive in double feature and Blue Monkey would make a good bundle.

I would think they would be excellent chastity belts. Put them on the fridge, and sit back and let the magic never happen.

They should have included a "The Fenz" magnet.

On the description for Teenage Hitchhikers, it says:

LAST OF THE INVENTORY-HUGE LIMITED TIME SALE

Limited Edition 1000

However, it appears to be available through most retailers (Amazon, DeepDiscount, etc). Are there multiple editions of this title? I'm confused.

The one Dark Force is selling is probably the original pressing and the one the retailers are selling is probably the newer pressing that is distributed by MVD. I don't know if there is any actual difference between the two.

Starring Leo Fong (BLIND RAGE, CAGE II), Darnell Garcia (ENTER THE DRAGON, DEATH FORCE), Lotis Key (BLACK MAMA WHITE MAMA, SWEET REVENGE) - Directed by Efren C. Piñon (BLIND RAGE, THE KILLING OF SATAN) - Shot by future exploitation director Frank Harris (KILLPOINT, AFTERSHOCK)"

Nice. Ron Van Clief fought Royce Gracie way back in UFC 4 when Ron was 51 years old. Second feature stars the great Low Blow.

No clue wtf is going on with Hollywood High. One second it looks fine then the next second there's a green tint over everything. Are all these grindhouse versions like this? At least it's not as pink and tan as the amazon version. Teenage Mother doesn't have that problem.

The grindhouse series wildly varies in quality depending on the specific movie

Gates of Hell for instance looks awesome and a cool alternative to the scorpion disc. Chinese Hercules on the other hand is very rough. All of them have some print damage though

It seems that one movie looks decent and the other looks terrible on all these releases...

Not always but the whole purpose of the Drive-In series was to try and capture the nostalgic feeling from that whole era. So we do the old drive-in newspaper ads for the box covers, moving drive-in marquee for the menus and Drive-In Mode to experience the whole show. For the most part the HD transfers have been done from 35mm drive-in prints for even more accuracy. There is generally some print damage in all of them but it does seem to add to the drive-in grindhouse experience. And many of these releases there is no surviving original camera negative so it's either the prints or nothing. Although not perfect we do feel the new HOLLYWOOD HIGH is better than anything previously on the market for that film. Very fun and super retro nostalgic watch.

If you haven't lived through the grindhouse/drive-in era, I think you'll have very little to no appreciation for it and will just want everything to look like a Pixar movie. Personally, I wish everything shot on film had an alternate "grindhouse" edition released alongside it just for fun.

Yep makes sense. If you don't want the movie switching between normal mode and Matrix mode every 2 seconds you must only want films to get the VS treatment because you're not 50 years old.

No very simply the print damage simply provides a positive nostalgic association, and thus is not an issue.

If you believe that I have a bridge to sell ya.

I grew up on drive in's in the 60's and 70's,
and well into the 80's as an 'adult',
print damage on home video was cute and nostalgic 30 years ago on VHS @ low resolution.

In HD
print damage is merely an eyesore and a distraction.

LOL @ ruined using decrepit prints as a selling point.

There were some comparisons here. I could pop it in later if nobody else does.

From what I remember it was ok looking. Not as bad as some of the other releases in the line... Other people said it's better than the DVD but I'd never watched it before..
