Those aren't really cuts.

It was in reply to 'Sony are going to have to think really hard about what they do in future'. They are my ideas for how they could get their money back.

Finally got to see this and thought it was great. I think once all the nonsense has stopped about the movie time will look back fondly on it and hopefully the sequels will get a better reception.

The 12-15 year olds of this generation will probably look back on it as fondly as those who were born in the 80s do with their Ghostbusters. I was born in 1995 so I don't count myself a part of either generation given I'm 20 and not the film's age rating audience of 12.

I'd be surprised if most people even REMEMBER the movie in a few years. honestly it wasn't a horrible film, I give it a 3/5, but it was entirely forgettable more than anything

Sony is lucky the PlayStation division is the success it is. The rest of the company really isn't doing all that hot.

Not saying you're specifically wrong, but what makes you think that exactly? What makes this more impressionable to kids than other movies? I was 12-15 between in the 2000 area and nothing left a remarkable impression on me. There are good movies from then, but nothing left a mark with me more because I happened to be in that age range.

It being "their Ghostbusters" doesn't automatically mean 12-15 year olds will remember it. It's like you're under the illusion all kids like Ghostbusters.

But do you not think it would have had the same effect on 12-15 year olds that the original clearly had on those born in the 1980s?

If they're predisposed to giving a damn about Ghostbusters in the first place....maybe? Out of my top 10 movies many came out before I was even born.

No, because the original was a huge success that ruled the Summer season...this one is just another movie based on a "gimmick" concept.

This movie will be long forgotten in a years time, let alone five or ten years from now. It will not be remembered by 12-15 year olds. It may be what they think of when they think of Ghostbusters, but it will be forgotten like every other big CGI fest that has come and gone.

When this movie was released in the 80s there was nothing like it, hence why it is remembered so fondly by many. Films like this are a dime a dozen now, and this is just another remake in a long list of remakes that will be forgotten by this generation as just another film released in a stacked summer of CGI blockbusters.

Very few films these days leave a lasting impression because we've pretty much seen it all, and this film will not be one of them. Most agree, it was passable at best, it is definitely not a game changer by any means.
