From the case: "New 2K restoration from its 35mm interpositive."

I decided to utilize this weekend to finally watch the remaining FCE releases that were in my unwatched pile. I finished Smile last night (after having never even previously hearing of it), and enjoyed it.

My personal ranking of the first three films:
Alphabet City
Smile
I Start Counting (for whatever reason, I just couldn't get into this film compared to the other two).

Gonna get through Walking the Edge tonight, and hopefully Rancho Deluxe. Otherwise, the latter will be my morning view.

I'm not sure if it's just formatted weirdly, but the listing seems to imply that only the third film has subtitles. Hopefully they'll all have them.

All 3 films are subtitled.

Walking the Edge was quite the trip, but a fun film nonetheless. I realized I must've skipped over Jeremy on accident, so I'll have to check that out tomorrow alongside Rancho Deluxe. Then I'll be all caught up before the box set arrives.

I'm know I'm late to the party with Jeremy, but watched my copy last week and loved it. Such a simple but wonderful film. Just as special are the new interviews with Robbie Benson and Glynnis O'Connor. They both look amazing and have such sweet recollections about the filming and about each other. I know it's with Warner, but would be so great if you were able to get their follow-up Ode to Billy Joe.

So glad you enjoyed the film and the interviews so much! JEREMY is special, as are Glynnis and Robby.

ODE would be great, but, yes, it's WB...so that'll be a tough one.

Ah, Jeremy, the film the long demolished local theater in the town I grew up in decided was the perfect supporting feature for... Breakheart Pass.

That's how Kermode saw it...as the B picture for BREAKHEART PASS.

They both feature 2 classic real-life couples! If you really squint then maybe Glynis O'Connor could pass for Jill Ireland, but Robbie Benson and Charles Bronson would be kind of a stretch. Although Benson...Bronson...their names are eerily similar...maybe the theater owner needed glasses?

When I saw JEREMY in Tacoma, WA, in the early 1970's, it was the main feature. I've long since forgotten what its co-feature was, but it wasn't BREAKHEART PASS.

A couple of years later, I became the campus film chairman and screened JEREMY on campus in 1975. The college audience loved it!

Hey all, just did a new Q&A with Jonathan from Fun City. We cover how the ALPHABET CITY release came to be, and also talk a bit about how they collaborate with Vinegar Syndrome as a partner label. Check it out here - https://www.cinematicvoid.com/post/t...sive-interview

MGM has such an extensive film library. Can we expect more MGM titles from you guys?

Also, I know the pandemic has hampered some of your planned releases this year. Should my wallet be worried you're about to get cranking in the next few months?

P.S. Loved the article.

Thanks, bergman. Nothing we can confirm yet re: MGM. I hope your wallet is tempted by some of our upcoming, yet to be announced titles...
