I just wanted to say that I had excellent customer service from Dark Force each time I ordered. I just received my latest order in Toronto well packed, in a box. There was a delay at the LA postal depot, but I expect stuff like that at this point. I watched Blue Monkey, which I had seen before when it was released, I only remembered a few things. Nice trsnsfer and nice slipcase. Posts in some groups can sometimes be negative, so I just wanted to give a compliment. I haven't tried making the cover glow yet, but I'm in no rush. I had the Beyond bluray which I bought when it was released and had no idea that it was supposed to glow until a few months ago.

Am I the only person that wanted every single person inside the Hospital in Blue Monkey to die? I'm not usually one to be bothered by the casts of films but this one just annoyed me throughout and I found myself hoping that the "Insect" would just do them all in pretty much for the entire 96 minute run time.

Other then that though did you enjoy the film? I’m waiting for mine to arrive & am hoping it’s a blind buy I end up enjoying.

So I was thinking about picking up a few titles to give this label a try.

I was thinking about

Teenage Hitchhikers
Blue Monkey
The Last Victim/Forced Entry
Nail Gun Massacre

I've not seen any of these, what are everyone's thoughts on them?

With these DF/Code Red/Scorpion movies it's always a very personal experience whether you enjoy the film or not.

#1 do you have any code red / dark force movies at all?

#2 out of those, the one I personally like the best was THE LAST VICTIM, specifically THE LAST VICTIM cut. The Forced Entry cut was not as suspenseful and the added violence inserts were goofy (though some might consider that a pro).

I think all of those are winners, but I could make some other recommendations if you dont have any CR/DF movies at all.

Some I would recommend include:

https://darkforcesuperstore.com/dark...loria-blu-ray/
https://darkforcesuperstore.com/driv...-blu-ray-bd50/
https://darkforcesuperstore.com/prim...ay-dark-force/
https://darkforcesuperstore.com/prim...ay-dark-force/
https://darkforcesuperstore.com/scre...-ray-code-red/
https://darkforcesuperstore.com/terr...-ray-code-red/
https://darkforcesuperstore.com/the-...e-red-last-75/ [note only the directors cut works on this disc, but its the far better cut anyway]

Haven’t seen any of those (I did order Blue Monkey myself) but I’d also recommend checking out Mirror, Mirror if you haven’t seen it.

I liked Teenage Hitchhikers. I love any 1970s drive-in fare that is fairly mild, not too nihilistic, and yet you can feel the 1970s sun baked into the film and smell the orange crush and Pringles.

Sandra Peabody in her birthday suit is worth the price of the ticket in Teenage Hitchhikers, good ol' silly fun from start to finish. And a gorgeous transfer to boot.

Not nearly as much as I wanted to. There is a really nice special effects sequence with a larva early in the film that's quite disgusting and then nothing (not even shots of the larva) again until after 45 minutes into the movie. When the final creature is unveiled it looks great (for a giant puppet) but overall the cast really hurt this one and you'll know what I'm talking about right away.... Watch the reaction (or lack there of) of the doctor...

...when the Larva is revealed early in the film. A piece of cardboard would have had a bigger response to the horror than what she has. Sadly, she is absolutely the most wooden actress I have ever seen in any movie ever and her complete and utter lack of emotion really hurt the film for me. My earlier comment about wanting everyone to die in the film was primarily brought about because of how much I disliked her acting.

Beyond all of this though the film is also rather tame with really nothing to show of the Insects carnage. I expected something closer to The Dead Pit and instead got something closer to an episode of Tales from the Darkside.

Did anyone who watched Blue Monkey realize the little blonde girl was Sarah Polley, the lead in the Dawn of the Dead remake?

Yeah I didn't want to give you regrets already seeing as how you haven't received your order yet when I posted last night. Hopefully your experience is a much better one. Perhaps I just had expectations that were too high and on a future revisit I'll find more to like, but last nights first ever viewing was underwhelming to say the least.

Nailgun massacre is great, if you enjoy regional 16mm 80s horror like Flesh Eating Mother's and Bloodsuckers from Outer Space it is of a similar type.

Hey , where's Redneck? I thought they said August.
