Doubt a better version will be released anytime soon if ever. Mutant not exactly burning up the sales charts for labels. So if u like this type of movie , I'd go for it at 13 shipped.

Me too! I've wanted to get this one for awhile, but it's always a little more than I want pay or don't want to wait 6 weeks to get it.

I’m in the same boat. Screen Archives has it still which is tempting.

I know it's PG-13, but it was a staple of 1980s video store horror sections, and is actually a really good film. It's also never had a good DVD or Blu-ray release and I feel like it'd do really well for whoever is enterprising enough to release it.

2nd that.

Night Child isn't in Dark Force inventory at all so probably a lot of other titles that would go 12.99 first.

PRIMAL SCREAM has some green and black scratches and blotches here and there (especially around the reel changes), but overall, the print is in really good shape and I didn't notice any jump-cuts/missing frames. Vibrant colors and healthy grain. The film was a cheapo production, so don't expect reference quality, but it's completely acceptable.

And it doesn't go out-of-sync at 45 minutes in so there's that bonus plus as well! Not that any viewer will be awake at 45 minutes as this is kind of a dud overall, but it will still appeal to fans who gravitate towards these obscure forgotten 80's flicks that no one was ever really asking for. I remember renting the VHS in the 80's, but couldn't remember a thing about it today. After just watching the Blu, I still can barely remember anything about it even now, but I did like
[Show spoiler]the scene with the guy deteriorating into ash.
Plus, I still do have an affinity for these super low-grade regional or off-the-map productions, regardless of how boring or inane they are.

There are some extras that I have no desire to partake in.

All said, it's a safe buy QC wise.

Mirror Mirror 1/2 sounds awesome. I remember watching both about a decade ago and thinking they were reasonably solid. Amityville 1992: It's About Time is another similar movie I've been wanting, along with the other Amityville sequels, on blu.

Joining the band wagon here but I also strongly think DF should look into Summer Camp Nightmare. It's a great one, sorely lacking on home video!

Curious about the Summer Camp Nightmare requests. Have DF mentioned this as a possibility or is it just a random wishlist title?

Someone mentioned it during the Banana Man chat, but Bill told De Falco it was PG-13 and so it wouldn't sell.

I wanted to make a plea to Dark Force to consider it anyway, because it's a really good movie, carries a lot of nostalgia, and that artwork rules (and would definitely sell) on a Blu-ray case.

I could be wrong but I have heard SUMMER CAMP NIGHTMARE is at least temporarily a rights issue. I believe the rights to it were spread between Corman (now Shout Factory), MGM, and a third entity...and that's why it hasn't been released in so long.
