A villain that I do find more fascinating than the Joker is Javier Bardem as Anton Chigurh in No Country for Old Men. Both characters appeared to be embodiments of evil, but the Joker was more like a force of nature. He appeared to be insane and just wanted "to watch the world burn" for the sake of destruction. Chigurh was a psychopath who appeared to be rational. He had a code that he followed strictly, such as keeping his promises no matter what, and some kind of bizarre logic or twisted morality, like using the coin toss to determine his actions at times. To me, this made Chigurh more unpredictable and terrifying. Again, given the nature of the films it could be an apples and oranges comparison. Ledger, Rickman and Bardem were all excellent in their roles.
Alan Rickman made me feel for the Sheriff of Nottingham, something I didn't think was possible.

Only seen the opening action sequence from the Extended Deadpool 2 cut, but man, does it make me respect the job of an editor. All nice having some lofty action choreography and fancy camera work, but it goes on forever and become monotonous, like geez, more is definitely less the case with that one.

Maybe not as fascinating but definitely on the same level but as someone who was raised on comics the Joker will always be one of the most fascinating villains for me

There hasn't been a superhero movie worth owning since SUPERMAN II (1981).

The character is definitely critical. And Eckhart does a great job.

But Ledger's Joker is just terrifying, because there is no real reason why he's doing what he's doing. Two-Face has a definite purpose. Almost all villains have some reason why they do what they do. It's revenge, or world domination, or something. The reason Joker's such a great villain, IMO, is because you never really know -- and there probably honestly isn't a real reason -- why he does what he does.

He wants to create chaos and anarchy and make people do things against their natures. Why? Who the hell the knows? And to me, that's much scarier than someone who has some revenge strategy or whatnot. Joker's like a void. Like a black hole. He probably has no purpose at all. That's scary.

[wiki]My Dinner with Andre tricks you into thinking the film is brilliant, I think. It's insufferable at times and even ridiculous, maybe I should read the book. Seems that would be the easiest way to digest this mess.

The Cabin in The Woods is one of the best films ever made but it makes me sad that a snooze fest like Good, Bad and The Ugly gets three hours while this film barely gets more than ninety minutes.

Yeah she’s not great. But I think her naivety in acting, the “I don’t know what I’m doing so I’ll just smile,” really helped her portray Wonder Woman with an infectious earnestness. So I do think she’s a great Wonder Woman.

I agree Gadot is not a great actress yet I've liked her in everything I've seen her in (even Keeping Up With the Joneses). She has a great screen presence that goes beyond just her looks but she won't win any oscars anytime soon. She's in that Paul Walker/Keanu Reeves category of actors who don't have a ton of acting ability but I like watching them on screen.
