Yea they were both very good. I think the first guy who I believed auditioned will go very far. Also that young kid that sang Lean On me wasnt bad either. Got Em!!

Anyone else pissed off that their DVR cut off the show just before the girl fell off the stage?

Nope. AI is notorious about going over their time limit so I have set my DVR to record several minutes extra. In fact that is a practice I use on every show I watch. Start recording early and stop late just so I don't miss anything.

Normally I don't care about adding extra time to Idol since it is typically just Ryan saying goodnight (live shows) or showing next week footage, but yeah, I was annoyed I missed that. I had to watch the episode online to see the end.

The fall looked fake to me.

Anyway, Hollywood week round 1 is over and STILL no Hollie Cavanagh? Why are they hiding her?

It looked like there was someone down there where she fell before she fell. Was that a camera man? I'm not sure. But she was squirrelly before she started singing so I'm not sure if it was fake or not.

Dunno if it was fake or not but I think it's funny there has been people complaining about it. Do they really think AI would show a girl getting seriously injured? Of course they wouldn't! This isn't Jack@$$ where people purposefully hurt themselves. It would be very bad publicity if she was seriously injured and they aired the footage.

Amazing how the cameraman was there to record her dad's "reaction" after she fell.

I am sure there are lots of different camera men out filming this, and at least one of them would have been recording nothing but the parent of the person on stage for everyone to hit the stage.

She looked like she was fainting as she answered the last question and before she fell, and there is no way she was hurt that bad or dead... it would have been in the news the day after it was filmed.

lol ya saw a number of people walk off stage that I never saw in the initial try outs or last nights show.

I'm not angry about her falling I'm angry Fox screwed up and didn't get the episode in the allotted time. My DVR cut off just as she started to sway. Others are upset about it because they used it as suspense for the upcoming episode by not telling everyone she was fine at the end of the episode. It would be like the Nightly News showing you a clip of a car stopped on tracks and a train coming at it and saying tune in tomorrow for details.

First off, American Idol nearly always runs late. They've done it for years. (atleast the past two since thats when I started watching) I suggest setting your DVR to record 2 - 5 minutes extra.

Secondly, people getting mad and actually complaining about the cliffhanger make me laugh. The producers did it on purpose just to get people talking and get more viewers. The News actually does this every night. If you watch the commercials there are always little "teasers" from the News cast saying things like, "Find out what terrible evil is lurking in your schools! Are your kids safe?!" then if you bother to watch the news at the very last 5 minutes of the broadcast they say something like, "A five year old kid tripped in an evil mud puddle and got all dirty but don't worry she's okay!" It's all a ploy to get more viewers which in turn gets them more commercial revenue. Talking about those setups only spreads the word in which case more people turn out to see what the fuss is all about. Same thing happens when anybody tries to protest something. It draws more attention to the very thing you are trying to protest which in turn makes it stick around even longer causing your original plan to backfire on you. If you don't like something simply don't talk about it and don't watch it and it will no longer bother you for you don't see it happening.

My DVR recorded the whole thing and I didnt set it for more than the normal time. Thats interesting. Anyway I wouldnt think that fall was fake. That would be a low and dirty way of getting ratings. I mean bad singer auditions are one thing but faking dangerous falls is another.

I am curious as to how these groups will come together. I dont have my favorites yet but I have a couple people in mind. Got Em!!

The "groups" episode was insanely boring. An entire episode of people rushing around trying to get groups together. Yawn.

Also, looks like more fainting next week.

2 hours and they don't even mention Hollie Cavanagh? They showed her like 5 times, but each time was barely a second.

The single father sucked. I don't know why he got to go through.

I only watched the first hour and half so I didnt see the results yet but I cant remember who Hollie Cavanagh is? Actually have a few favorites but dont know them all by name yet. Also cant remember which one was the single father? The asian guy was great! Phillip Phillips is also very good. Skyler is damn good also. White Chocolate is damn good. A few more that Ill have to remember later. Got Em!!

Hollie Cavanagh from last season:

The judges told her to come back this year and she did! But they never showed her re-audition or do anything else at all.

but they never mentioned her name AT ALL and I've only seen one second glimpses of her.
