yeah, they've been trying for a while now. they've even been trying to call some of the managers on their home/cell phones. to no avail.

Damn, I'll hope for the best. Let's hope that at worst they're safe and they just can't contact anyone yet to let them know.

if it's anything like puerto rico is, then it'll probably be a while. PR is without power on the whole island. and the island with one of our offices is on dominica; which is a bit southeast of pr.

that whole island chain took a direct hit from hurricane maria.

That's crazy with al these hurricanes they've had. Do you know if the office is even still standing?

no idea. according to the email we got, most of the people live in typical island housing. and i'm not sure about the actual office. i would assume it would be some sort of concrete or brick & mortar-type building, but i honestly don't know.

well channel 4 at & t direct tv hasn't reached a contact agreement as of yet

what I read at and t form they have to negotiate to continue receiving permission to rebroadcast it local affiliate (WSMV) is the only one who can turn on or off the channel. Sometimes, more often with local affiliates, they stay "dark" once the current agreement has ended as a tactic to upset customers and use that leverage to keep high rates paid to them (or increase those rates). If tv providers continue paying already high, or even higher costs, that ends up hurting our bill

channel 4 actually nbc Nashville channel btw

so if by midnight or tomorrow no agreement=channel 4 will go out prob for a few days until they fixed it meh
