It should be fun.
So you meant good old fashioned Jam session. I forgot that you played. I haven't done anything like that in quite some time. I hope you had a blast before you got too twisted

How's it going Hamp?

That is pretty funny, his mom implying that he's a monkey.

Good afternoon Russ.

Yes, I've been playing the drums since I was 10 years old(31years). I grew up on Rush, Yes, Zappa, King Crimson, etc. You play piano don't you?

We had a very good time, then got very twisted.

Hi Joe. Im watching a show on the discovery channel about bugs in the body (Monster in the Body). Some scary medical stories there.

On top of this im looking at some elite screen material but it's for use with their fixed frame series. So it properly wont work unless i clue it on top of my old screen.

Hi Tommy.

That sounds like an interesting show. I'm eating pizza and watching Family Guy reruns.

It sounds to me like it might just be better to buy a whole new screen.

Cool Joe.

About the screen. The hard thing is not finding a great one but it's finding one with some rings/hooks/holes on the top of the screen case. Most are made especially for for the specific brand and models. No standard mounting system for them all.

Couldn't you buy some small chains and hooks to make any screen work?

How about this screen. It's only $4,179.00

Nice what a bargain. They sure knows what they want for their canvas.

No not every screen will work because some just have tiny holes/clip-ons or similar for their particular adaptor/mounting system.

Oh, okay. I didn't know that. Most of them have little loops on the top though, don't they?

Some do yes but some are totally different. Still i don't think it would be overly hard too maybe weld something on them for the hooks too go through.

The thing is it's hard too get a proper overview of the cases only going by a small picture from the store or the brands homepage.

The one in your picture looks very similar too my elite screen and would deficiently work.
The trick however is finding one 0.9->1.0 gain screen with that particular mounting system or something that can be converted rather easily.

18" long L shaped wall brackets is not the easiest too come around in other than the elite screens and ceiling mounting is out of the question.

You've already got the wall mounting brackets you need, with the screen you have right now, right? Why not just buy a top-end model Elite screen, then you could just mount it from the brackets that you already have installed on your wall. It seems to me like that would be the most simple and easy thing to do.

When you are undecided play some music and read your book.

That's true. Although my current brackets will only work on the Manual, VMAX 2 and Spectrum series and those are all 1:1 gain like the one i have now.

The most wise thing to do would properly be too wait a few years before doing the upgrade and then go as big as possible. Because as long as i stick too pulldown screens there's always gonna be a high possibility of horizontal lines in the canvas and it will never be as good as fixed frame screens anyway.

Im going 200" in my next apartment. lol
