I had to give it a very quick peek before going to bed, dear lord it looks lush. At first glance I'm not sure that the colour and range is all that different from the Sony disc - though this is where the DV tone mapping of the SC comes in handy, I'll do some comparisons later if I get the time - but the grain is exquisitely rendered and it really does lose that permanently sharpened look that the Sony has. You'll still spot some EE in places that always had it, like the VFX of the Mondoshiwan ship in the opening scene or the VFX of the Diva with the planet backdrop behind her, but overall it finally LOOKS like it's come off the negative, I think David M's guesstimate before was correct.
