Radio On has been added to my list as well. The written synopsis didn’t grab me, but the trailer certainly did.

When will the extras for Radio On be announced? I'm about ready to buy the BFI edition, which honestly looks pretty stacked, but am willing to wait to see what supplemental materials Fun City will offer.

Ours will be pretty stacked, too, and fully detailed soon.

I know I probably mentioned this earlier in this thread somewhere, but the Robbie Benson/Glynis O'Connor interview on JEREMY is one of the best blu-ray extras ever produced. I was toying with the idea of selling my slipped copy (sorry...) but then decided to watch the interview(s) again and immediately put it back on my shelf. Really, really outstanding. Plus I forgot Mike McPadden & Kat Ellinger did a commentary which I'm listening to again. Great release even if it's not my favorite movie.

"Walking the Edge" is a hell of a lot of fun. Robert Forster is great as always, but Joe Spinell absolutely steals the film as the main antagonist. Spinell, looking as oily as ever, wears plaid cowboy shirts unbuttoned to right above the waistline, Wranglers, and Southwestern style belts throughout. It takes a truly special individual to be that unbelievably greasy and also have that much confidence to just go with it. Forster mentions in his commentary that Spinell was as talented an actor as he'd ever worked with and this performance is a testament to that. Joe just dominates the screen every time he's on it.

Joe Spinell is something else in this one. He triggered my "bad man" vibes in a way that rarely happens in movies, and it's all because of the ambiguities you mention. A guy with that body, dressed as he is, should not scare the shit out of you. But he does. I can't even put my finger on what it is that Spinell does here to give me these vibes. It's everything. I'm sure Spinell had a whole backstory for this guy in mind, as he doesn't play him, he embodies him. That's what gives him the confidence. That baseball scene, my god. You could feel the menace, you could see his dark thoughts. Tremendous actor.

Wanted to acknowledge that RANCHO DELUXE has dipped under 1000 (for the slipped edition)! I daresay that this might be my favorite FCE release so happy to see it's success.

Spinell truly had his own, completely distinctive, rhythm and vibe.

Same here (initially though I was interested in getting the UK release, then I dismissed it. However more recently, I've been twisting my arm and am considering getting it or the Fun City Editions release).

Alphabet City is still the only Fun City Editions release I've got, and I still want to get Walking the Edge.

Radio On has been on my wish list for years. I imported the BFI dvd, but have held off importing the blu ray as I want to support this label. Smile was a great release and I liked Alphabet City as well.

For the upcoming VS Black Friday sale, will Rancho Deluxe be included? Or will the cut off for FCE titles be Walking the Edge? I can’t remember how far back the sale titles extend to.

Could be different this year, but last year:

Quote:
What titles will be on sale?
Every VS, VSA, Peekarama and Partner Label title with a release date prior to September 2020 will be discounted 50% off SRP. Titles with release dates beginning in September will NOT be discounted.

Thanks for the info. It’s right on the cut-off with an Aug. 31st release date.

Just have to decide if I should wait for the sale or spring for it sooner.
Decisions, decisions ….

It will probably still be in stock by the time the sale starts.

Yea. There’s also no other VS titles I’m in a rush to grab. I’ll probably hang tight and see what the numbers for Rancho look like closer to November.

Not going to get into specifics yet, but our RADIO ON Blu-ray will, of course, have our customary custom packaging, as well as some significant new extra features, that don't appear on previous versions of the film.

Loved Prime Time Panic, would love to see more TV Movie sets in the future. My vote
would be a set of Jamie Lee Curtis TV Movies from the early 80's

She's in the Army Now '81
Death of a Centerfold '81
Money on the Side '82

She's in the Army Now should be with Disney, Death of a Centerfold is with Warner Bros, and Money on the Side seems to be with Sony, so all very unlikely I'm afraid.

Thanks, yeah, titles would most likely need to come from the same catalog in order to package them in a box set and it needs to be a catalog we can access. Also, it helps if the films can be connected in some way beyond being TV movies.

As somebody who is a big fan of FCE and already has all the releases, is there anything else that I can do to help?
