thinking about this email we got at work today.
we have to refrain from using any gender specific pronouns when referring to customers. they don't want us making any mistakes towards their gender. instead, we have to start using generalities like "they", "them", and "their". i'm sorry (not really), but if you look, sound, and dress like a woman, then i'm gonna say "her" or "she" and call you "ma'am". and if you look, sound, and dress like a man, then i'm gonna say "him" and "he" and call you "sir". |
