The product title simply stated "Fantasia (2010)" so I would imagine stockists don't know yet either.

One of the reasons why Disney may be holding back from the adverts for Fantasia is simply because they're assessing whether to bundle F200 with it. As we know, F2000 didn't gain the profit or popularity that they expected, so bundling it with the original would be a good way of avoiding risk factor with separate sales, and another release date taken up.

I would agree with the member who posted earlier about the new Beast logo - just as boring as the Snow White one

Not sure how many of you are from U.S/England, but I can tell you now that Fantasia is coming out here (England) on March the 2nd next year. I've been in touch in various stores and they all said March, though the dates changed - some said the 9th, but Amazon who have always been correct for me said the 2nd.

Dumbo is the Special Edition as you may know - that due on the 22nd March, already pre-ordered that! Box art is in similar vein to Diamond editions though, new logo.

The reason why they (Disney) can get away with the 3 releases is because most of you are forgetting that Beast and Fantasia are the only Diamond releases of next year - Dumbo is a Special, and any other addition will just be a standard edition.
Disney will announce their Blu-ray slate timed with CES. Prepare for a few surprises as far as release dates go, both positive and negative. Some titles that we expect to be released will be delayed, titles that have been delayed for a long time will be announced, and there will be a few new titles that haven't really been speculated much about. Typical Disney stuff. It's all pretty routine, actually. ;-)

Maybe they'll finally do Song of the South, lol... a lot of hardcore Disney fans seem to have been drooling after that for years. They never got it on DVD, but maybe BD.

Disney's best DVD releases in terms of overall quality, though, weren't (for the most part) the Platinum line. The earlier 2-disc Collectors Edition line always had the best bonus features... unfortunately, the movies released to this line weren't always DIsney's best work in terms of writing quality (eg. The Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis). However, the last release of Fantasia & F/2000 was as part of the CE line, and it was a great release. Dinosaur also got an amazing release as a 2-disc CE; far superior to the pathetic offering on its Blu-Ray.

The Ltd. Edition Treasures DVD sets were also always top-notch, and seeing those old theatrical shorts start coming out on Blu-Ray (hopefully as Ltd. Edition tin sets again) would be great.

I sold my DVD of fantasia for 65 and fantasia 2000 for 30 last month in anticipation of these. It's amazing how the average person doesn't even check when movies are coming out of the vault. Cannot wait for these. Fantasia should look gorgeous and in dtshd too

I've personally been waiting for Hercules to have a special edition. Although I've heard low rumours of both that and Aladdin.

Yeah I'm hoping Aladdin will be released next year too... I just hope that when it does the video quality is better than the one aired on ABC family... Oh, one question, what does CES mean??

Ugh I would love to see this, but I don't have any newer titles. Thanks for the heads up though, can't wait to pick it up when it comes out.

Thanks for the heads up. Downloading the trailer now.

I wish we were going to get the unedited version of Fantasia, but I highly doubt it.

If anyone could post the trailer here (filming it from tv) I'll be really grateful... I live in Brazil, and although I have UP and Monsters, Inc (the US versions), we don't have BD Live in here...

That and the "Fantasia Legacy" museum of extras from the '00 boxset.

Off to see if my Snow White Blu will pick it up--
And btw, am I the only one who feels a little guilty that Disney's new BD-Live seems to have given up all the "chat" bells and whistles they were once trumpeting in our face for the Sleeping Beauty disk in favor of a Sony-style "downloadable trailer" one, while Warner seems to have picked up all the community-screening ones?

I don't much care for BD-Live, but thanks for the tip. I think I'll check this out.

Bollocks! Really want to see this but the last Disney Blu I purchased was Wall-E

It'll probably be online before the weekend is out though, won't it?
